METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PLASMA TREATMENT OF LIQUIDS IN CONTINUOUS FLOW
The disclosure refers to a method, reaction chamber and system for treatment of liquids in continuous flow including the steps of receiving a liquid for treatment in a reaction chamber; converting q flow of liquid for treatment in a biphasic liquid-gas flow; directing the biphasic flow to a central section of the reaction chamber, where an electric field is applied; ionizing the gaseous fraction of the biphasic flow that passes through said central section sustaining an ionization regime generating non-thermal plasma throughout the central section of the reaction chamber leading the biphasic flow under the ionization regime to a discharge section of the reaction chamber, where the electric field is applied, generating the deionization of the gaseous fraction and causing the biphasic flow to reduce its velocity, which results in the condensation of biphasic flow; and removing a flow of treated liquid from said discharge section.
MIXING DEVICE
The invention generally relates to a mixing device. In certain embodiments, devices of the invention include a fluidic inlet, a fluidic outlet, and a chamber, the chamber being configured to produce a plurality of fluidic vortexes within the chamber.
Process and apparatus for sized nutrient recovery from wastewater by elutriation
Processes and apparatus are provided for recovery of dissolved species from wastewater streams, in the form of precipitates sized by elutriation. The processes may for example be controlled so that the recovered sized solids are in the form of relatively insoluble plant nutrients, such as struvite. The extracted nutrients may for example include solid species of phosphorus, and/or nitrogen, and/or potassium.
Compositions comprising water that exhibits increased cell permeability and methods of use thereof
The disclosure provides nanometer sized water clusters comprising or consisting essentially of ultrapure water that encapsulate a solute, wherein the water clusters have a median diameter of between about 2 to about 400 nanometers and uses thereof. Also provided by the disclosure are processes and methods for making nanosized water clusters, including processes and methods for encapsulating hydrated solutes in nanosized water clusters.
FILTRATION SYSTEM
An annular filter includes a first annulus wall and a second annulas wall being impermeable to fluid (liquid and gas), a first circular wall and a second circular wall mounted between the first annulas wall and second annulas wall wherein the first and second circular wall are permeable to fluid (liquid and gas), at least one dividing wall mounted between the first and second circular wall to divide an internal volume defined between the first and second annulas wall and the first and second circular wall into channels, bisecting walls between the first and second circular walls to change a direction of fluid flow from a first direction to a second direction first and second channels, turbulator walls mounted channel, wherein the turbulator walls cause turbulent fluid flow in the channels, and a filter media positioned in at least one of the channels.
MICROPLASTIC SEPARATOR
The invention relates to preventing microplastics from the entering the environment. In particular the invention is directed to filtering microfibers from the waste water from washing machines as well as waste from other appliances and other sources of effluent with entrained microplastics or other microp-ollutants. A separator is provided for separating microplastics from effluent comprising; a chamber including at least one sieve structure, a shroud that acts as a vortex finder and a baffle coaxial with the shroud and projecting upwards from the lower end of the chamber, wherein the shroud has a circular lower rim and the baffle has a circular upper rim, wherein the radius of the lower rim of the shroud is greater than the radius of the upper rim of the baffle.
Method for treating an effluent supersaturated with calcium carbonate in the presence of phosphonate precipitation-inhibiting products
The present invention relates to a method for treating an aqueous liquid effluent containing calcium and carbonate ions and containing precipitation-inhibiting products, said process comprising the following successive steps: a) providing an aqueous liquid effluent supersaturated with CaCO.sub.3 and containing precipitation-inhibiting products; b) having the effluent obtained in step a) pass into a reactor with high solid content with a solid content maintained between 20 and 800 g/l and integrated solid-liquid separation, at a pH comprised between 8 and 9.2 allowing in a single step precipitation in situ of the aragonite polymorph of calcium carbonate and removal of the precipitation-inhibiting products; c) recovering an aqueous liquid supernatant containing a suspended solids content of less than or equal to 0.1% by mass of the solid content in the reactor, advantageously a suspended solids content of less than 50 mg/l, the precipitation-inhibiting products being phosphonates.
Fine bubble generating apparatus, fine bubble generation method, suction device, and suction system
[Problem] To enable an increase of fine bubbles in medium liquid. [Solution] A suction device of the present invention includes a cylindrical portion that is formed of a cylinder with two base surfaces, first surface and second surface, and that flows medium liquid supplied from a plurality of paths, from the first surface toward the second surface, a plurality of introducing portions that introduce the medium liquid from the first surface or from the vicinity of the first surface into the cylindrical portion such that the medium liquid swirls inside the cylindrical portion, and an outlet port provided at or in the vicinity of the center of the second surface.
Fluid filtration device
Described are filtration elements for removing materials from a fluid. The filtration elements generally operate by inducing cavitation into a fluid passing through them, generating energy and removing unwanted materials from the fluid. The filtration elements can be used singularly or in combination with one another for a multiple level filtration system.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING CONTAMINANTS FROM A FLUID STREAM
A solids dissociation apparatus that is used to remove various types of contaminants from a continuous fluid stream. The solids dissociation apparatus includes a housing. The solids dissociation apparatus also includes at least one insert that is operably engaged with the housing where the at least one insert is adapted to receive a continuous fluid stream. The solids dissociation apparatus also includes a transducer that is operably engaged with the housing and disposed about the at least one insert at a distance away from the at least one insert inside of the housing. The transducer is configured to create cavitation inside of the housing, via sonic waves, to eviscerate contaminants in the continuous fluid stream flowing through the at least one insert.
