11186509 · 2021-11-30 ·

A marine water treatment dock box system is provided. The marine water treatment dock box system securely houses a water softener, a deionizer, a high-pressure washer and a selective control system for diverting water for cleaning a docked vessel, for onboard use by the vessel, and/or for high-quality potable water production. The above-mentioned components are operatively associated to outlets disposed along the exterior of the dock box body, maintaining the security and protection of the components. The water softener may be fluidly connected to an inlet to the dock box and a three-way valve for selectively controlling the softened water to one of the following: (1) a high-pressure pump for washing a vessel; (2) to the deionizing tanks for dissolving solids for a spot-free rinse; and or (3) to an outlet to fill onboard fresh water tanks.

Methods and systems for calcite removal using polysuccinimide

Methods and systems are provided for removing calcite deposits by contacting polysuccinimide with water to dissolve the polysuccinimide and supplying the dissolved polysuccinimide to surfaces fouled with the calcite deposits. The pH of the water that dissolves the polysuccinimide can be adjusted based on the amount of calcium in the water. Adjusting the pH will affect the dissolution rate of the polysuccinimide in water and the rate of removal of the calcite deposits.

Deionized-water cooling for electrical equipment

A deionized-water cooling system for electrical equipment is provided. The system includes a cooling loop in which water comes into contact with the electrical equipment and a deionization bypass connected to the cooling loop. The deionization bypass includes a first filter component configured to remove dissolved oxygen, a second filter component configured to filter solid particles, a deionization cartridge configured to deionize water, and a plurality of valves configured to control a water flow within the deionization bypass.

Mainstream Deammonification Process Employing Bypass Primary Effluent and Step Feeding

The present invention relates to a mainstream deammonification process for removing ammonium from wastewater that suppresses NOB growth and produces a sludge having good settling characteristics, the process comprising: clarifying the wastewater stream in a primary clarifier (12) and producing a primary effluent; directing a first portion of the primary effluent to a biological treatment reactor (14) and removing carbon to produce treated wastewater; directing treated wastewater into an integrated fixed film activated sludge (IFAS) deammonification reactor (16) integrating nitritation and anammox processes and that is provided with intermittent aeration; directing a second portion of the primary effluent to the IFAS deammonification reactor (16) by-passing the biological treatment reactor (14), and injecting this second portion only during periods of air off and refraining from injecting during periods of air on, directing the IFAS deammonification reactor (16) effluent to a secondary clarifier (18) and producing a secondary effluent and a clarifier underflow, and recycling at least a portion of the underflow to the IFAS deammonification reactor (16).

An ion removal kit according to the present invention comprises: a kit case; a filter unit, which is provided inside the kit case, receives raw water from a main flow path for supplying the raw water to a water-requiring place so as to remove, through electrodeionization, at least some of ionic substances included in the received raw water, thereby discharging soft water containing less ionic substances than raw water; a filter flow path which is provided inside the kit case; and a control part which is provided inside the kit case and which controls the filter unit.

Process and apparatus for enriching silicate in drinking water
11220448 · 2022-01-11 · ·

Disclosed is a process for enriching silicate content in drinking water that includes separating raw water via reverse osmosis into a permeate comprising demineralised raw water and a retentate comprising mineral enriched raw water. The permeate is mixed with a water glass solution comprising sodium silicate and/or potassium silicate. An ion exchange process is used to reduce the concentration of sodium and/or potassium ions in at least part of the mixture. At least part of the retentate is supplied to the mixture after reducing the concentration of sodium and/or potassium ions to provide a silicate-enriched drinking water. Also disclosed is an apparatus for producing a drinking water enriched with silicate. The apparatus includes a reverse osmosis unit, a mixing unit, an ion exchanger, and a feed unit for feeding at least part of the retentate to the mixture after reducing the concentration of sodium and/or potassium ions.
