APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING OR CONTROLLING SALT CONCENTRATIONS IN WATER
An apparatus for treating water is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a feed tank for receiving water. The feed tank is coupled to a plurality of RF chambers. Each of the RF chambers comprises an inlet and an outlet. The outlet is coupled to a treated water effluent manifold. Further, each RF chamber is coupled to a vacuum manifold. Each RF chamber comprises a recirculation pipe to pump water back into the feed tank. The RF chamber comprises a RF system used for bombarding RF energy at predefined frequencies on the water passing in the chamber tubes in order to liberate chlorine isotope. Subsequently, the water is sent through the outlet to the treated water effluent manifold.
Water main recirculating system with filter by-pass and isolation and method of using same
A closed conduit system for use in a water supply system includes a recirculating unit configured to connect to an isolated section between a first point and a second point of the water supply system. The recirculating unit includes a first filter unit defining a first closed circuit including the isolated section and adapted to perform a first treatment. A second filter unit defines a second closed circuit including the isolated section and is adapted to perform a second treatment. At least one pump is capable of generating a flow of water through the first and the second closed circuit, and a valve selectively controls flow through either the first or the second closed circuit.
TREATMENT APPARATUS FOR WASTE CLEANING LIQUID AND TREATMENT METHOD FOR WASTE CLEANING LIQUID
Provided are a treatment apparatus and a treatment method treating a waste cleaning liquid discharged from a process of producing an electrode of a lithium-ion secondary battery, in which a liquid component and a solid component are efficiently separated from each other, and the liquid component can be sufficiently collected and subjected to volume reduction treatment. The treatment apparatus includes: a stirring tank stirring the waste cleaning liquid; a liquid feed line that takes out the waste cleaning liquid from the stirring tank; and a thin film evaporator evaporating a cleaning liquid in the waste cleaning liquid to separate the solid component. Then, in the treatment method, the waste cleaning liquid is stirred in the stirring tank, the waste cleaning liquid is supplied to the thin film evaporator in a state in which the solid component is diffused, and the cleaning liquid in the waste cleaning liquid is evaporated.
BIOREACTOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NITRIFICATION AND DENITRIFICATION
A method and system for the nitrification and denitrification of septic effluent, e.g. from a domestic septic tank, is disclosed comprising a variable speed pump system for constant continuous flow and a recycle mechanism to increase efficacy in producing a final denitrified effluent suitable for discharge to ground or surface waters.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING SAME FOR REMEDIATING SULFUR-CONTAINING COMPOSITIONS AND OTHER CONTAMINANTS IN FLUIDS
A treatment process for remediating; contaminants in a mixture of contaminated fluids, including at least one liquid fluid and at least one gaseous fluid, includes the steps of: preparing a treatment composition containing at least 80 volume % of an aqueous solution containing at least one hydroxide compound at a collective concentration of 35-55 weight percent, and at least one organic acid selected from the group consisting of fulvic acid and humic acid at a collective concentration of 0.1-5 wt % of the treatment composition; adding a dosage of the treatment composition to a mixture of contaminated fluids including a liquid portion and a gaseous portion; and allowing the treatment composition to react with the mixture of contaminated fluids for at least 10 minutes. A pH of the treatment composition is at least 12.0
METHOD FOR TREATING WASTEWATER
The invention relates to a method for treating wastewater in an activated sludge process, which comprises a biological treatment step followed by a sedimentation step for separation of sludge and treated effluent water. The method comprises directing a part of the treated effluent water as a backflow from the sedimentation step to the biological treatment step, the backflow having an original pH value; adjusting the backflow pH from the original pH value to a first pH value between the sedimentation step and the biological treatment step, and adding a coagulant and/or an oxidant to the backflow after the adjustment of the backflow pH to the first pH value and before backflow's entry to the biological treatment step.
LIQUID RECOVERY SYSTEM, LIQUID SUPPLY SYSTEM, AND PRESSURE REGULATING METHOD
A ultrapure water supply system 10 includes a pure water tank 16 provided vertically below a use point 30, a return pipe 32 through which ultrapure water is returned from the use point 30 to the pure water tank 16, a first pressure regulating valve 40 that is provided at a first position H1 of the return pipe 32 and adjusts a first pressure upstream of the first position H1 and a second pressure regulating valve 42 that is provided at a second position H2 downstream of the first position H1 and vertically below the first position H1 of the return pipe 32 and adjusts a second pressure downstream of the first position H1 and upstream of the second position H2.
WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A water treatment system is provided. The system includes a container holding a reactant liquid within the container. The system further includes an electrode capsule removably retained within the container and submerged in the reactant liquid. The electrode capsule operates to generate reactant gas by operating within the reactant liquid. The system includes a cap releasably coupled to an opening of the container. The cap includes a nozzle that allows flow of reactant gas out of the container to treat an amount of water. The use of the system operates to treat water for particular applications and controlling pH level range and/or alkalinity for each particular application.
Ballast water treatment method
A ballast water treatment method includes: a step of supplying a sterilizing component to a ballast pipe while taking ballast water into a ballast tank through the ballast pipe; a first measurement step of measuring the concentration of the sterilizing component in the ballast water after the sterilizing component is supplied; a circulation step of returning the ballast water stored in the ballast tank to the ballast pipe through a circulation pipe; a second measurement step of measuring the concentration of the sterilizing component contained in the ballast water returned to the ballast pipe; and a step of supplying the sterilizing component to the ballast pipe 2 when the concentration of the sterilizing component measured in the second measurement step is less than 0.2 times the concentration of the sterilizing component measured in the first measurement step. In the first supply step, the sterilizing component is supplied to the ballast pipe 2 such that the concentration of the sterilizing component measured in the first measurement step becomes 6 mg/L or more.
System and Process for Removing Ammonium from a Wastewater Stream
The present invention relates to a side stream deammonification process where deammonification is performed by a non-continuous flow integrated fixed film activated sludge sequencing batch reactor (IFAS SBR) without the need of employing an external clarifier. More particularly, the present invention entails a single reactor designed to operate as an IFAS SBR or a moving bed bioreactor (MBBR). With the design of the single tank, the two operation modes, MBBR and IFAS SBR, are interchangeable depending on the treatment needs.
