METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for wastewater treatment, in which at least portions of the sewage sludge contained in the wastewater (0) are subjected to a hydrolysis (8). The hydrolysis (8) is carried out as a thermal hydrolysis. After the hydrolysis step (8), a drying process is (19) carried out. The drying process (19) is a process operating with positive pressure in the steam region. At least parts of the steam resulting from the drying process (19), which operates with positive pressure, are fed (20) to the portions of the sewage sludge in the thermal hydrolysis (8).
APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS FOR BIOGAS CAPTURE FROM WASTEWATER
Methods for capture of biogas from a wastewater system are disclosed herein. The methods may include the step of collecting biogas within a collector chamber of a biogas collector formed at an elevated location in a wastewater system, the biogas being released from wastewater passing though the collector chamber. The methods may include the step of controlling the withdrawing of biogas from the collector chamber, and the step of capturing the biogas withdrawn from the collector chamber. The methods may include performing the step of collecting biogas within a collector chamber of a biogas collector by reducing a pressure within at least portions of the collector chamber. The methods may include the step of conveying biogas withdrawn from the collector chamber to a biogas disposer. Related apparatus for capture of biogas from a wastewater system are disclosed herein.
SOLAR POWERED VACUUM ASSISTED DESALINATION SYSTEM
A water sanitizing system is disclosed and includes an inner chamber and an outer chamber disposed at least partially around the inner chamber. A lens concentrates solar energy applied to a liquid within the inner chamber. A vacuum source in communication separately with the inner chamber and the outer chamber. The vacuum source controls a pressure within the inner chamber separately from the outer chamber for controlling conversion of liquid within the inner chamber to a gas. The outer chamber, also under vacuum, is an insulative layer to prevent heat loss.
Apparatus, system, and method for remediation of contamination
An apparatus, system and method for removing and treating contaminated materials on a bottom of a body of water and introducing growth packets to revitalize the treated bottom of the body of water. The structure may comprise a vessel with an open face. The vessel may be lowered down to the bottom of the body of water with the face facing down. As a result, the vessel and the bottom form an isolated space. The structure may comprise at least one agitating device(s) for stirring up the materials inside the vessel so as to form a mixture containing the sediment materials which in turn contain the contaminants. Multiple at least one pipe(s) may be coupled to the vessel for transporting the mixture out of the vessel for processing (filtering, treating with chemicals, etc.) so as to neutralize or eliminate the contaminants in the mixture. Then, the treated mixture can be returned to the inside of the vessel via the at least one pipe(s).
Method for obtaining distillate from non-potable water as well as a device for obtaining distillate from non-potable water
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for obtaining distillate from non-potable water. The method comprises the steps of utilizing solar power from a solar power system to produce electricity and steam, utilizing the electricity and the steam in a water treatment device to convert the non-potable water into distillate and concentrate, transporting at least a part of the distillate to consumers for use. The method and device provide multiple effect distillation (MED) combined with vapour compression (VC) being able to work 24 hours a day only on solar energy.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TREATING FLUID USING A BIOCHEMICAL PROCESS UNDER VACUUM PRESSURE
Methods and systems are described for treating a fluid that includes a particulate fraction and a soluble fraction, such as wastewater fluid including biosolids. The treatment includes biochemically transforming solids in the particulate fraction of the fluid in a biochemical process while simultaneously subjecting the fluid to a vacuum pressure, and evaporating off at least a portion of the soluble fraction of the fluid and thereby thickening a remaining portion of the fluid. A residence time of the particulate fraction can be controlled to be at least 25% greater than a residence time of the soluble fraction, for example. A solids content of the particulate fraction can be controlled to be in a range of from 2% to 99%, for example.
System and method for treating contaminated water
A system and method for treating contaminated water are provided. The system can include one or more collecting basins for collecting water, such as rain water, runoff water, etc. The system can further include one or more containment basins, one or more polishing basins, and a pumping system for moving water through the system. The containment basins and polishing basins can utilize techniques for reducing a contaminant concentration in the water. The system can further include a source for adding process water to the system and combining it with the collected water to form a system water in order to reduce a contaminant concentration in the system water and accommodate higher volumes of collected water and/or higher pollutant concentrations therein. The system can also include an ultraviolet emitting device and/or a heating device for reducing the level of living bacteria in the system water.
PROCESS FOR REMOVING DISSOLVED GAS FROM AN EVAPORATOR FEED STREAM
A method for treating produced water or a feedwater stream with an evaporator. The feedwater stream or produced water is directed to and through a deaerator located upstream of the evaporator. Steam produced by the evaporator is utilized to strip dissolved gases from the produced water or feedwater stream passing through the deaerator. To efficiently strip dissolved gases, the vapor pressure in the deaerator is maintained at below atmospheric pressure and the produced water or feedwater stream is heated to a temperature greater than the saturated vapor temperature in the deaerator.
