COPPER AND NITROGEN TREATED SORBENT AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
Carbonaceous material that is activated to form precursor activated carbon is further enhanced by doping with copper and nitrogen and calcining. The resultant sorbent material has excellent catalytic properties which are useful in the field of fluid purification.
HYBRID WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR RED TIDE REMOVAL AND PERCHLORATE CONTROL AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD USING THE SAME
Disclosed is a hybrid water-treating system. The system includes a raw-water supply bath having a predetermined volume and configured to receive raw-water containing high concentration organic contaminants; at least one electrolytic bath configured to receive the raw-water supplied from the raw-water supply bath and to produce first treated water, wherein a boron doped diamond (BDD) electrode is installed in the electrolytic bath; and at least one deionization bath configured to receive the first treated water discharged from the electrolytic bath and to produce second treated water, wherein flow-electrode capacitive deionization (FCDI) is performed when applying a first voltage to the deionization bath.
Method and A Process to Remove Inorganic and Organic Substances from Water
An apparatus that comprises a method and a process that is a network of functional systems to remove harmful inorganic and organic substances present in natural or man-made water sources and industrial processes wherein said apparatus is a water purification device.
REMOTE-OPERATED FLUSHING SYSTEM
Example aspects of a remote-operated flushing system and a method of operating a flushing system are disclosed. The remote-operated flushing system can comprise a fluid routing assembly comprising a valve, the valve configurable in an open configuration, wherein fluid is permitted to flow through the fluid routing assembly, and a closed configuration, wherein the fluid is prohibited from flowing through the fluid routing assembly; a control device configured to actuate the valve between the open configuration and closed configuration; a remote operation device wirelessly connected to the control device and configured to remotely operate the control device to control the actuation of the valve between the open configuration and closed configuration; and a sensor configured to detect a fluid property of the fluid within the fluid routing assembly, wherein the control device is configured to wirelessly send a signal representative of the fluid property detected by the sensor.
CHARGE NEUTRAL BIOCIDE DOSING CONTROL FOR MEMBRANE BIOFOULING CONTROL APPLICATIONS
Biocide can be controllably added to a feed stream for a membrane. The membrane can separate the feed stream into a purified permeate stream and a concentrate stream containing contaminants from the feed stream. In some examples, a charge neutral biocide is introduced into the feed stream at a first addition rate. The concentration of the charge neutral biocide in the permeate stream is measured to provide a measured concentration of the charge neutral biocide in the permeate stream. The addition rate of the charge neutral biocide can be adjusted based on the measured concentration of the charge neutral biocide in the permeate stream to introduce charge neutral biocide into the feed stream at a second addition rate different than the first addition rate.
COOLING POND WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A method of increasing operational efficiency of a power plant includes determining an average rate of accumulation of scale-forming compounds in a cooling water source, directing water from the cooling water source having a first concentration of scale forming compounds through a treatment system to produce a treated water having a lower concentration of scale-forming components than the first concentration by operating the treatment system with operating parameters selected such that a rate of removal of the scale-forming components from the water in the treatment system is greater than the average rate of accumulation of the scale-forming components, directing the treated water back into the cooling water source, and circulating water including the treated water from the cooling water source through a cooling system of the power plant.
Ballast water management system
Techniques and systems for neutralizing discharge waters from ballast and/or cooling water biocidal treatment and disinfection systems are provided. The systems utilize, inter alia, oxidation reduction potential control to regulate the dechlorination of an electrocatalytically generated biocidal agent to allowable discharge levels in ship buoyancy systems and ship cooling water systems.
SPA/POOL WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A mobile device reads a test strip to determine a chemical condition of a liquid or a user inputs a treatment plan into the mobile device. The mobile device transmits the determined chemical condition or the input treatment plan to a liquid treatment system which treats the fluid in response to the determined chemical condition or the input treatment plan.
Device for cell culture
A device for cell culture comprising: a main body (11); said main body (11) comprises a plurality of circular portions (21-23); said device comprises a plurality of caps (51-53); each of said plurality of caps (51-53) comprises a base structure (58) having a circular hole (57), housing an upper slide (54) and an elastomeric layer (56) secured to said slide (54); said elastomeric layer (56) has a rectangular hole (59); said plurality of caps (51-53) being adapted to cooperate with said plurality of circular portions (21-23); each of said plurality of circular portions (21-23) each comprise an inlet hole (64-66) and an outlet hole (67-69) aligned with the long side of said rectangular hole (59), to perfuse the culture chamber (12-14) located in said rectangular hole (59) of said elastomeric layer (56).
Ballast water treatment and neutralization
Techniques and systems for neutralizing discharge waters from ballast and/or cooling water biocidal treatment and disinfection systems are provided. The systems utilize oxidation reduction potential control to regulate the dechlorination of a biocidal agent to allowable discharge levels in ship buoyancy systems and ship cooling water systems.
