A device incorporating both a magnet and a living hinge may be employed to construct cases to protect electronic devices and to function as a closure for cases and lidded containers. Such cases often can be bent three 360 allowing the cases to be either closed protecting devices therein are closed upon themselves allowing the case to function to secure an electronic device to a substrate such as an article of clothing. The holder device includes a first portion having a lip defining an aperture forming a holder portion adapted to receive one or more personal effects; and a depending second portion joined to the first portion via a connector portion, the second portion including a first catch and a second catch.

A hardware mounting system for eyewear including a mounting bracket that is secured to a temple of eyewear by wrapping a stretchable retention band around the temple and aligning two openings in the retention band around a protrusion in the mounting bracket. Either or both of a mounting arm and a spherical rod end can be secured to the mounting bracket. The mounting arm can allow an ear device such as hearing protection to be secured to the eyewear. The spherical rod end allows a device having a socket such as certain illumination devices to be secured to the eyewear.

Provided is eyeglasses comprising: a) a front body for holding lenses and optionally one or more of the lenses; b) two temples, each temple having a first end and a second end, the first end attached to the front body, each of the second ends of the temples configured to rest on behind an ear, the second end of the temple having a cavity; c) a magnet placed in the cavity of the temple; wherein the eyeglasses are configured to form a magnetic connection with a metal that is attracted to a magnet. Provided are eyeglasses holding system comprising: a) a metal plate attracted to a magnet for wearing on outside of an article of clothing; b) one or more magnets for placing inside of the article of clothing; and c) eyeglasses with a front body for holding lenses and two temples, with at least one magnet in one of the two temples; wherein a user places the one or more magnets inside of the article of clothing and forms a first magnetic connection between the one or more magnets and the metal plate placed on the outside of the article of clothing, the first magnetic connection stabilizing the metal plate on the outside of the article of clothing, the stabilized metal plate configured for placing the eyeglasses though a second magnetic connection as needed by the user.

A wearable eyeglass holder that holds a temple of a folded pair of eyeglasses in a manner that resists the inadvertent unfolding of the held temple and the wearer's loss of the eyeglasses. The eyeglass holder has a connector that enables it to be attached, in a pendulous manner, to the wearer's neck, clothing, or other object. The eyeglass holder has an oblong body with a double convex shape and a longitudinal inner channel with two oblong openings on the same face of the body. A temple of a pair of eyeglasses, inserted through the upper opening, comes to rest upon a waist extending between the openings. The eyeglasses rest on the waist and a foot of the body provides a second contact point with the temple that maintains it in a closed position.

The field of invention relates to wearable retainers, and more particularly pertains to a new and improved eyewear retainer apparatus (100) wherein the same permits securement of ornamental indicia such as hatpins (110), lapel pins, trading pins and the like thereto. The magnetic multipurpose wearable retainer (100) has a cylindrical cavity (240) configured to releasably retain the nail portion (315) of said ornamental indicia. Said wearable retainer (100) attaches to shirts (900), hats (1200), jackets (1000), and other articles of clothing and accessories (1100). A hoop constructed of a length of fishing wire (120) is attached thereto said wearable retainer (100) for releasably securing eyewear (125). An earpiece (135) of said eyewear (125) is hooked through said hoop (120) until said eyewear lug (140) rests on said hoop (120), thus suspending said eyewear (125) therefrom. The embodiments disclosed herein retain ornamental nail bearing type indicia while keeping eyewear (125) and other items releasably attached thereto within easy reach.

An eyeglass holder for the chest portion of a garment which uses a threaded button hole in the chest portion of the garment to support a pair of eyeglasses by inserting one of the temple legs of the eyeglasses into the threaded button hole.
