The present invention is directed to a hair color applicator. The hair color applicator may comprise an applicator brush and a base. The applicator brush may be operable to apply one or more hair colorings to hair. A trough in the base may hold the one or more hair colorings. One or more removable dividers may be coupled to the trough to separate the one or more hair colorings. The one or more hair colorings may be applied to a brush head of the applicator brush by placing the applicator brush on the base and rotating a plurality of bristles of the brush head through the trough. The one or more hair colorings may be applied to the hair by brushing the hair with the applicator brush.

The movable portion includes protuberances, each protuberance passing through a hole of the fixed portion so that it protrudes outside of said fixed portion. The configuration of the protuberances and of the holes makes it possible to move at least longitudinally the movable portion in relation to the fixed portion. The applicator may be obtained by additive manufacturing.

The mechanical means should be such that it provides sufficient resistance for a controlled movement of the brush apparatus preventing infinite movement, e.g., infinitely rotating/revolving, while also provides sufficient resistance such that when an animal pushes against it, it does not move freely or randomly, but puts resistive pressure against the animal's body for a good scratch. The hairbrush includes a handle with an engagement shaft featuring a first magnet, a brush head with a first end and a second end, and bristles radially distributed around the brush head body. The hairbrush further includes a second magnet disposed within a receiving volume of the brush head. The first magnet attaches to the second magnet. The resistance to rotation of the brush head with respect to the engagement shaft is achieved through the magnetic interaction between the first and second magnets. The brush head rotates upon encountering resistance from tangled or matted hair, allowing it to brush past the tangled or matted hair and limit the maximum amount of tension that would otherwise be transferred to the hair.
