Described herein are devices for cleansing the internal surface of various body cavities. The devices generally include a handle and one or more cleansing tips having different sets of cleansing surfaces. In addition to removing debris, and disrupting bacterial biofilms so as to make these bacteria more susceptible to various cleansing agents, the devices may be configured to deliver an antiseptic agent, an anti-inflammatory agent, or a fragrance to the body cavity surfaces, or deliver UV light to sanitize the surfaces. Methods for cleansing the surfaces of body cavities such as the nasal passages and vaginal cavity are also described herein. Systems including one or more cleansing devices and one or more cleansing formulations are further described.

A brush for applying a cosmetic composition (P) to the eyelashes and/or eyebrows, having a core, preferably made of plastics material, having a longitudinal axis (X), a plurality of rows of spikes disposed around the core and along the latter, where, for at least each of a number k of said rows, where k is greater than or equal to 2, at least three successive spikes in this row, of respective ranks p, p+1 and p+2, have elongation axes (Y) that make respective angles a.sub.p, a.sub.p+1 and a.sub.p+2 at their base with the longitudinal axis (X) of the core, where p is an integer between 1 and n−3, where n denotes the number of spikes in the row, at least two of the angles a.sub.p, a.sub.p+1 and a.sub.p+2 being different, at least one spike of the same rank p having a different orientation a.sub.p for at least two of these k rows.

The present invention relates to an applicator for applying a cosmetic, makeup or care product to the eyelashes and/or eyebrows, having an application member comprising a core that extends along a longitudinal axis, and spikes that are carried by the core and are arranged in groups of spikes within longitudinal rows, in which applicator the groups of spikes are preferably uniformly spaced along the longitudinal rows and each comprise at least two spikes, at least one longitudinal row of spikes being axially offset with respect to the consecutive longitudinal row, in such a way that at least one group of spikes of the offset row occupies the same axial position as a space free of spikes between two groups of spikes of the consecutive row.

A nasal cavity cleaner is an instrument to be inserted into the nasal cavity for cleaning the nasal cavity. The nasal cavity cleaner includes a grip section to be gripped by a user, a shaft-shaped brush holding section extending from the grip section, and a plurality of brush pieces stacked on each other and held by the brush holding section. Each of the plurality of brush pieces has an annular section and a plurality of brush bristles provided on an outer peripheral surface of the annular section. Further, each of the plurality of brush pieces is held by the brush holding section inserted through the annular section. The brush holding section has a locking section that is locked to the inner peripheral surface of the annular section of the brush piece held by the brush section, thereby suppressing a rotation of the brush piece.

A curing applicator for curing a curable formulation as it is applied to a surface includes an applicator assembly extending from a base assembly. The applicator assembly is configured to apply the curable formulation to the surface. The curing applicator further includes a curing assembly configured to deliver a curing stimulus. The curing assembly extends from the base assembly and is positioned to follow the applicator as it applies the curable formulation to the surface.

A cosmetic brush device utilizing a plurality of bristles mounted to a base holder. A first portion of the bristles are located adjacent the base holder and include a part having a narrow transverse dimension, a second part possessing a relatively wide transverse dimension, and an intermediate part positioned between the first and second parts possessing a transverse dimension of a value between the first and second parts. The bristles also extend outwardly to a second portion having a crest of curved configuration.

Systems, methods, and new file formats are provided for printing 3D microstructures. In some implementations, a new file format is provided that defines 3D objects by a wireframe model expressed as a collection of wires. Because wires and their parameters are defined within the new file format, objects may be processed more efficiently and quickly to support 3D rendering operations. Such methods may be used to print new articles, such as eyelashes, bushes, swabs and other novel items.

A mascara applicator that comprises a molded brush (adapted for grooming) to which is mounted a non-molded, fiber brush (adapted for loading product). The molded brush comprises relatively harder, relatively less flexible, injection molded bristles, while the non-molded brush comprises relatively softer, more flexible fiber bristles.

An cosmetic applicator comprising a brush portion of relatively soft, flexible injection molded bristles, and a comb portion of relatively hard, inflexible injection molded teeth, the comb portion being assembled to the brush portion after each portion is molded. A motion actuator is operative to move the brush head in a rotational motion, wherein the brush head rotates about a rotational axis and simultaneously moves in a non-oscillatory movement about another axis different than the rotational axis.
