APPARATUS FOR THE INTERDICTION OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE
An apparatus for the interdiction of periodontal disease comprising a device the size of a US quarter coin capable of being chewed by a user, and which is configured with finger protrusions having fabricated blade ends capable of removing plaque from the teeth surface and disrupting plaque accumulated in the gingivae pockets of the teeth. The device of the apparatus is additionally configured with re-fillable inserts holding hygienic formulations to limit bacterial growth and flush plaque debris out of the gingivae pockets of the teeth. Some embodiments of the device of the apparatus are wholly digestible. The device of the apparatus is portable and comes in a plurality of embodiments in different shapes, all having the basic functionality of, self-treating periodontal disease.
Volume and curl enhancing hairbrush
A hairbrush includes a main body, a first set of bristles, a second set of bristles, and a handle extending from the main body. The main body has a shape allowing the bristles of the hairbrush to be disposed around the body. Preferably, the hairbrush will have bristle sockets or the like arranged along the main body permitting a plurality of bristles to be inserted into each of the sockets. The bristles of the first set of bristles are substantially longer than the bristles of the second set of bristles. Furthermore, the bristles of the first set of bristles and the bristles of the second set of bristles will be of a different type. The first set of bristles and the second set of bristles are arranged in a stacked helical pattern around the main body. In use, the first set of bristles reach to the scalp and lift strands of hair up from the scalp, and the second set of bristles then smooth these strands. The result is to produce volume and luxurious hair.

The present invention relates to a brush head (10, 10a, 10b, 10c) for use with a body care device (100), comprising a plurality of bristles (22, 22a-22e), a carrier (16) for fixedly carrying the plurality of bristles (22, 22a-22e), and connection means for connecting the carrier (16) to a housing (50) of the body care device (100) defining a first axis (14), so that, when the brush head is connected to the housing (50), the carrier (16) is rotatable about the first axis (14) and pivotable about a second axis (20) perpendicular to the first axis (14) with respect to the housing (50), wherein the carrier (16) comprises a plurality of carrier parts (17), each fixedly carrying a corresponding one of a plurality of bristle groups (26, 28, 30), and wherein at least one of the plurality of carrier parts (17) comprises a shaft defining a third axis (40, 42, 44) about which the corresponding bristle group (26, 28, 30) is rotatable.

The oral care implement may include a head extending from a proximal end to a distal end and comprising first and second peripheral sides. A plurality of tooth cleaning elements extend from the head and are arranged in groups including a first peripheral grouping of tooth cleaning elements positioned adjacent the first peripheral side of the head and having first and second types of tooth cleaning elements, a distal grouping of tooth cleaning elements positioned adjacent the distal end of the head and having a third type of tooth cleaning element, and a proximal grouping of tooth cleaning elements positioned adjacent the proximal end of the head and having the third type of tooth cleaning element. A first orientation of the toothbrush head includes the first brushing portion contacting an inside of at least one upper tooth and the second brushing portion contacting an outside of at least one lower tooth. A second orientation of the toothbrush head includes the first brushing portion contacting an inside of at least one lower tooth and the second brushing portion contacting an outside of at least one upper tooth. The method includes steps as follows: a) contacting, with a toothbrush head, an inside of at least one upper tooth concurrently with an outside of at least one lower tooth; and b) contacting, with the toothbrush head, an inside of at least one lower tooth concurrently an outside of at least one upper tooth.
