An apparatus for dispensing a material from a cartridge comprises a dispensing head having a passage therethrough, the passage extending from a receiving socket to a dispensing orifice through said dispensing head, an outer casing, securable to the dispensing head and rotatably relative to the dispensing head and an end cap threadably received within the dispensing head and having an end connector disposed towards the dispensing head. The receiving socket and the end connector are adapted to receive the cartridge so as to rotatably fix the end cap relative to the dispensing head wherein rotation of the outer casing threadably moves the end cap in a longitudinal direction thereby compressing the cartridge between the dispensing head and the end cap. A kit may include the apparatus and a cartridge extending between first and second ends and having an interior adapted to contain a substance to be dispensed therefrom.

The present invention is directed to a toothbrush that incorporates tapered bristle filaments in combination with tuft holes of a reduced size, such as between 1.3 mm to 1.4 mm in diameter. To achieve high design flexibility regarding the arrangement of the two-component cleaning elements and regarding the material choice, the two-component cleaning elements are manufactured separately or in an upstream molding step. Then the two-component cleaning elements, together with the bristle tufts, are over-molded with plastic material, to form the brush head or a part thereof.

In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care implement including a handle and a head coupled to the handle, the head comprising a front surface; a rear surface opposite the front surface; a peripheral surface extending between the rear surface and the front surface; a first elastomeric soft tissue cleanser comprising a bumper portion that extends along the peripheral surface, the bumper portion comprising an undulating upper edge that includes a plurality of high points protruding above the rear surface and a plurality of low points located at or below the rear surface; and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending from the front surface.

An oral care implement having a head with a soft tissue cleanser thereon. This document also discloses a member for mounting a toothbrush head to an electric toothbrush. The member includes a base having an opening for receiving a drive shaft of an electric toothbrush. The member also includes a coupling section that includes a cylindrical sidewall that surrounds a cavity for receiving the drive shaft. The member includes a spring in the coupling section. The spring is positioned to transfer vibration from the drive shaft to the toothbrush head when operated.
