A head for an oral care implement has a longitudinal length extension extending between a proximal end and a distal end, an outer rim and an inner portion. The head comprises at least two tooth cleaning elements of a first type and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements of a second type, the tooth cleaning elements of the first type being arranged at the inner portion of the head, and the plurality of tooth cleaning elements of the second type being arranged at the outer rim of the head, thereby surrounding the tooth cleaning elements of the first type. The tooth cleaning elements of the first type are tufts of a first type comprising a plurality of filaments. The tufts of the first type are arranged substantially parallel to each other. Each tuft has a substantially rectangular or oval cross-sectional shape with a longer length extension from about 4 mm to about 8 mm and a shorter width extension from about 1.5 mm to about 2.5 mm, wherein the longer length extension defines an angle α with respect to the longitudinal length extension of the head of about 25° to about 60°.

A toothpaste dispensing pen style toothbrush including a toothbrush head assembly, a housing assembly, and an electrical assembly is disclosed. These assemblies in conjunction with one another provide a simple solution to brushing your teeth. The housing assembly includes toothpaste stored therein. A screw rod is longitudinally mounted within the housing assembly. At a bottom portion of the screw rod is a screw cup. The screw cup travels the length of the screw rod when a button is pressed to actuate a battery powered motor that spins the screw rod. The screw cup then pushes the toothpaste out of the housing and into the toothbrush head assembly along a channel. The channel ends at an outlet on a toothbrush head. Thereby dispensing toothpaste onto toothbrush bristles. A user can place a cap over the toothbrush head assembly that resembles a pen cap.

The bottom portion of the case having at least one opening enabling liquids to drain from an inside the case. The top portion of the case having an aerosol restrictor, which allows liquid from the inside of the case to evaporate through openings in the aerosol restrictor, but which prevents aerosolized liquids from an outside of the case from reaching the inside of the case. The aerosol restrictor includes multiple inwardly facing baffles, each baffle blocking a portion of an opening on the top portion of the case, and the multiple baffles collectively blocking any direct path for aerosolized droplets between an outside of the case and the inside of the case. Each baffle includes an upwardly facing spike which forms a high point of the baffle reaching towards a top of the case and a downwardly facing indent which forms a low portion of the baffle.

Described herein is an oral care implement comprising: a handle; and a head coupled to the handle, the head comprising a main body and a release component coupled to the main body, the release component comprising: a water-dissolvable matrix comprising a first polymer having a processing temperature greater than or equal to 130° C.; and a release agent comprising at least one of zinc oxide, potassium nitrate, and tetrapotassium pyrophosphate; wherein the release agent is dispersed throughout the water-dissolvable matrix.
