BLACK-COLOURED ARTICLE
Black-coloured article (1) which is not a photovoltaic device, comprising:—a substantially transparent substrate (3);—a substantially transparent textured layer (5) provided upon a first surface (3a) of said substrate, said textured layer (5) having a textured surface (5a) oriented away from said substrate (3);—an absorption layer (7) comprising silicon-germanium alloy, said absorption layer (7) being situated upon said textured surface (5a) of said textured layer (5).
METHOD OF PROVIDING A COLOUR COATING ON A DECORATIVE ELEMENT
A method of applying a coloured coating to a decorative element such as a gemstone. The method comprises: providing an ink mixture comprising an ink and an organic carrier, the carrier comprising a polymerisable organic material; arranging the ink mixture and the decorative element in a plasma; and allowing the ink mixture to polymerise on a surface of the decorative element to form a polymerised colour coating. The polymerisable organic material may comprise a polymerisable siloxane or a polymerisable oxysilane.
Glass container having an inkjet printed image and a method for the manufacturing thereof
A glass container has an outer glass surface with an inkjet printed image provided on the surface. A cold-end coating (CEC) with a thickness between 0 to 20 nm is present between the outer glass surface and the inkjet printed image. Such glass container is preferably a one-way beverage bottle. A method of inkjet printing an image on a glass container comprises the steps of (a) manufacturing a glass container having a CEC layer; (b) removing at least part of the CEC layer to a level wherein the remaining CEC layer has a thickness of 0 to 20 nm; and (c) inkjet printing an image on the glass container.
Coated protective glazing
A protective glazing is provided that has long-term stability against degradation under high temperatures. The protective glazing includes a glass or glass ceramic pane having two opposite faces and being transparent in the visible spectral range and an infrared radiation reflecting coating on at least one of the faces. The coating includes a first layer on the face and a second layer deposited on the first layer. The first layer is a doped transparent conductive oxide and the second layer is an X-ray amorphous oxide layer or of a nitride layer.
GLAZING UNIT WITH FREQUENCY SELECTIVE COATING AND METHOD
An improved a glazing unit including a glass panel which is low in reflectance for RF radiation, a coating system which is high in reflectance for RF radiation disposed on the said glass panel and creating onto the glazing unit a dual band bandpass filter. The glazing unit further includes at least one frequencies selective decoated portion of the coating system extending along a plane, P, defined by a longitudinal axis, X, and a vertical axis, Z; having a width, DW, measured along the longitudinal axis, X, and a length, DL, measured along the vertical axis, Z. The at least one frequencies selective decoated portion includes a first decoated element that includes a plurality of unit cells forming a regular grid of n rows by m columns unit cells and a plurality of second decoated elements.
SCENARIO-ADAPTABLE COLOR-CHANGING INK AND SOLAR GLASS PRODUCT
A scenario-adaptable color-changing ink and a corresponding solar glass product are provided. The ink includes 7-30 parts by weight of photopolymer, 8-20 parts by weight of photoactive monomer, 1-5 parts by weight of photosensitizer, 30-55 parts by weight of weather-resistant resin, 1-10 parts by weight of curing agent, and 1-15 parts by weight of pearlescent pigment. The pearlescent pigment is at least one interference pearlescent pigments with weather-resistance, which has no color. Each sheet of the pearlescent pigment can be considered as a miniature prism which can break the white composite light into colorful monochromatic light, thus allow the coating of the printing ink to present a beautiful pearl luster and metallic luster. The pattern color which is visible by human is a result of overlaps and interferes of lights that the incident light is multiply reflected and refracted by the sheets of transparent pearlescent pigment.
LIQUID COMPOSITION, METALLIC LUSTER FILM, AND ARTICLE
A liquid composition includes a thiophene polymer; and at least one polymerization component selected from the group including a monomer and an oligomer.
Glass or glass ceramic substrate provided with a decorative coating and method for producing same
Glass or glass ceramic substrates are provided that have a decorative coating. Methods for coating a glass or glass ceramic substrate with a decorative coating are also provided. In the method, a first, textured layer is applied which is filled with a further layer, so that a layer material of graded composition is formed.
Tactile elements for deadfronted glass and methods of making the same
Deadfront articles that include a tactile element formed on a first surface of a substrate and a visual element disposed on a second surface of the substrate opposite the first surface. The tactile element is positioned on the first surface of the substrate in a complimentary fashion to the visual element disposed on the second surface of the substrate. The tactile element may include a surface roughness portion having a surface roughness different than the surface roughness of an area bordering the surface roughness portion. The deadfront articles may be incorporated into an automobile interior to provide a visual and haptic display interface for a user.
Liquid composition, metallic luster film, and article
A liquid composition includes a thiophene polymer; and at least one polymerization component selected from the group including a monomer and an oligomer.
