Method of assembling an oral care implement
An oral care implement that dispenses an oral care agent during use and a method of assembling such an oral care implement. The method may include contacting a suction tool to a supporting member and then contacting the supporting member to a dissolvable element to form a sub-assembly. Next, the sub-assembly may be inserted into a cavity of a head portion of an oral care implement. Then, the suction force applied by the suction tool onto the sub-assembly may be released to leave the sub-assembly in the cavity of the head portion. Finally, an oral cleaning member may be coupled to the head portion of the oral care implement.
TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE PELLETS
A toothbrush having a handle portion, a shank portion and a head portion. A channel extends longitudinally through the handle portion, the shank portion and terminates in the head portion. The channel is sized to slidably receive one or more toothpaste pellet formulated to effervesce when exposed to water or saliva. An aperture extends transverse through the head portion providing fluid communication into the channel. A one-way gate is disposed within the channel permitting a toothpaste pellet to pass into the head portion, and to prevent the toothpaste pellet from passing out of the head portion. A handle cap is removably attached to a lower end of the handle portion. The head portion and shank portion may be received within a head cap that removably attaches to the handle portion.
APPARATUS FOR THE INTERDICTION OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE
An apparatus for the interdiction of periodontal disease comprising a device the size of a US quarter coin capable of being chewed by a user, and which is configured with finger protrusions having fabricated blade ends capable of removing plaque from the teeth surface and disrupting plaque accumulated in the gingivae pockets of the teeth. The device of the apparatus is additionally configured with re-fillable inserts holding hygienic formulations to limit bacterial growth and flush plaque debris out of the gingivae pockets of the teeth. Some embodiments of the device of the apparatus are wholly digestible. The device of the apparatus is portable and comes in a plurality of embodiments in different shapes, all having the basic functionality of, self-treating periodontal disease.
Oral care implement
Described herein is an oral care implement comprising a handle, and a head having a main body that is coupled to the handle, the head comprising a release component coupled to the main body, the release component comprising a water-dissolvable matrix comprising a first polymer having a processing temperature greater than or equal to 150° C., and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements.
Oral care implement
An oral care implement having electrodes thereon. In one aspect, the oral care implement may include a handle and a head, the head having a front surface and an opposite rear surface. A plurality of tooth cleaning elements may extend from the front surface of the head. A soft tissue cleaner may be located on the rear surface of the head, the soft tissue cleaner including a protuberance field. A first electrode and a second electrode are each operably coupled to a power source to have opposite electrical charges. The first and second electrodes may be spaced apart from one another and substantially surround the protuberance field. In other embodiments, the first and second electrodes may be embedded within or otherwise located within the protuberance field.
Oral care implement
An oral care implement having electrodes thereon. In one aspect, the oral care implement may include a handle and a head, the head having a transverse through hole defined by an upper surface and a lower surface. A first electrode and a second electrode are located on the head and operably coupled to a power source to have opposite electrical charges. At least one of the first and second electrodes may be located on one of the upper and lower surfaces of the transverse through hole. In some embodiments, the first electrode is located on the upper surface of the transverse through hole and the second electrode is located on the lower surface of the transverse through hole.
