ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT GRAPHENE-HBN NANOPARTICLE AEROGELS

Ultra-lightweight aerogels and methods for fabricating such aerogels from ammonia borane and a support structure, where the support structure is either two-dimensional nanostructures, or hydrocarbon polymer colloids. The components are mixed, then annealed. The properties of the disclosed aerogels can be tuned by controlling the ratio between the support structure and the ammonia borane, or by infiltrating the aerogels with additives.

CEMENT COMPOSITION AND CURED PRODUCT THEREOF

A cement composition is provided. The cement composition comprises: a microcapsule and cement. The microcapsule is provided with a core-shell structure having i) a core containing a water-repellent organosilicon material selected from the group consisting of organosilanes, organosilane partial condensation products, and branched siloxane resins, and ii) a shell of a silicon-based network polymer containing a silica unit. The microcapsule is included at 0.01 to less than 0.5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the cement. Thus, it is possible to provide a cement composition that can provide a cured product having high strength, as well as excellent air content stability, substance penetration prevention, drying shrinkage, and freeze-thaw resistance.

Wool surface treated with hydrophobic agent and acoustic panels made therefrom

A method of preparing a fibrous panel including surface treating a mineral wool with a water repellent agent to provide a water-repellent surface treated mineral wool, admixing the water-repellent surface-treated mineral wool with water to provide a slurry, and dewatering and drying the slurry to provide a fibrous panel. A method of preparing a mineral wool having a surface treated with a water repellent agent including contacting a water repellent agent emulsion with a mineral wool and drying the mineral wool, and a method of preparing a water-repellent surface-treated fibrous panel including mineral wool having a surface pre-treated with a water repellent agent are also provided.

Hybrid coating for roof applications

Embodiments may include a coated granule for roofing systems. The coated granule may include an aluminum silicate granule and a coating disposed on the aluminum silicate granule. The coating may include a copolymer and a siloxane-based or a silane-based compound. The copolymer may be a cationic fluorinated (meth)acrylic copolymer. The aluminum silicate granule may have a particle size in a range from 0.2 mm to 2.4 mm. The aluminum silicate granule may have a 65% or greater reflectivity. The coated granule may repel oil and maintain its reflectivity better than with other techniques.
