SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING TIRE RUBBER ASPHALT
20230085865 · 2023-03-23 ·

A method and system for generating a rapid digestion process (“RDP”) product are described. The method includes receiving a bitumen compound and first heating the bitumen compound to 320° F. to 420° F. The method then proceeds to add tire rubber to the bitumen compound. The bitumen compound and the tire rubber are mixed for 5 minutes to 360 minutes during a second heating to 525° F. to 700° F. Further, sulfur is added to the mixture of tire rubber and bitumen compound. These steps generate the RDP product. The RDP product is then cooled for transfer to a storage vessel.

Rapid setting in situ cement plugs

Methods, compositions, and tools for use in creating rapidly forming plugs in situ in subterranean formations. In one instance, the disclosure provides a method that includes: placing a first pill comprising a calcium-aluminate-based cement composition at a plug location within the wellbore with the tubing; and placing a second pill comprising an alkaline fluid composition into the wellbore adjacent to the first pill with the tubing. In some cases there is a spacer fluid or spacer device between the first pill and the second pill. In some cases tubing having a mixing device is located at the bottom of the tubing in the wellbore to aid I mixing the first pill and the second pill to facilitate a chemical in situ reaction of the first pill and the second pill. The reaction between the first pill and the second pill forms a set plug at the plug location.

Cross-linked polyrotaxanes and their application in cement

This document relates to methods for preventing or inhibiting the formation of micro-cracks and fractures in the cement of an oil well using cement compositions that contain cross-linked polyrotaxane additives. The cement compositions containing the cross-linked polyrotaxane additives exhibit increased stiffness without suffering a decrease in compressive strength, as compared to the same cement without the cross-linked polyrotaxane additive.
