Oral Care System and Method
A method for oral care. In one aspect, the method for oral care includes a) receiving sensor data from at least one sensor configured to detect motion of an oral care device during a brushing routine of a user, the sensor data corresponding to the detected motion; and b) determining a target brushing time based on the sensor data. In another aspect, the method for oral care includes a) receiving sensor data from at least one sensor configured to detect brushing intensity during a brushing routine of a user, the sensor data corresponding to the detected brushing intensity; and b) determining a target brushing time based on the sensor data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO IMPROVE BRUSHING BEHAVIOR
This disclosure presents systems and methods to improve user brushing behavior. Exemplary implementations may: effectuate presentation of audio content via an audio output device, the audio content being characterized by an audio profile; obtain output signals from one or more sensors coupled to a user device, the output signals conveying user input information, the user input information defining user input by a user via the user device; determine, based on the user input information, a user profile, the user profile including one or more user values of the one or more audio attribute; compare the user profile with the audio profile to determine, for individual audio attributes, one or more differences; determine one or more scores reflecting the one or more differences; and/or perform other operations.
DIFFUSER AND HAIR DRYER HAVING A DIFFUSER
The diffuser includes a diffusing case having a rear side removably coupled to a main body of a hair dryer. Fluid discharged from the main body is introduced into the diffusing case through an inlet hole defined at the rear side and discharged from a front side of the diffusing case. A light irradiator is provided inside the diffusing case to irradiate light toward the front side of the diffusing case, and a light diffusion frame is provided in front of the light irradiator. The light irradiated from the light irradiator is diffused while forwardly penetrating the light diffusion frame.
Measuring health parameter using tissue recovery time
An oral care device (10) assesses a health parameter of gingival tissue of a user by means of a force-generating module (52) to apply a momentary force to the gingival tissue by applying a burst of compressed air or a burst of liquid to the gingival tissue, a sensor (28) to obtain a plurality of optical signals from the gingival tissue over time after the momentary force has been applied, a controller (30) to quantify, based at least in part on an analysis of the plurality of optical signals, the health parameter (e.g. inflammation of the gingival tissue), wherein the health parameter is based at least in part on an amount of time the gingival tissue takes to recover to the application of force; and a feedback module (46) to provide information to the user regarding the quantified health parameter.
Vehicle wash system with side brushes having three or more axial orientations
A vehicle wash system includes a vehicle treatment area and an overhead frame portion supporting a pair of side brushes. The side brushes are configured to treat the lateral sides of the vehicle and may also treat the front and back of the vehicle. The side brushes are configured to pivot between a vertical position, an outwardly angled position, and inwardly angled position. The side brushes may travel along the side of the vehicle in both the vertical and pivoted orientations. The side brushes may make multiple passes along the side of the vehicle, and the side brushes may change orientation during or between passes to treat different segments of the vehicle. The side brushes may be actively pivoted or may pivot in response to contacting the vehicle when shifted laterally into contact with the vehicle.
Cleaning appliance
A pump assembly for a dental cleaning appliance includes a fluid chamber, a piston, and a drive. Magnets, connected respectively to the piston and the drive, enable the drive to couple to the piston and move it within the fluid chamber to draw fluid into the fluid chamber. A stop prevents the piston from being pulled beyond a stop position so that through continued actuation of the drive the magnets separate to allow a spring to push the piston away from the stop position to urge a burst of fluid from the fluid chamber.
CLEANING APPLIANCE
A dental treatment appliance includes a treatment system which transmits a pulsed signal towards the oral cavity and receives a signal returned from the oral cavity. A controller actuates the treatment of the oral cavity of the user depending on the received signal.
Smart Brushes and Accessories Systems and Methods
The present invention comprises systems and methods for using a specialized styling device, such as a smart hairbrush, smart comb, or accessories, which allow for the collection of data from the devices, and for users to interact over a wireless network. The devices may including a wireless radio frequency modem connected to the internet and a battery to power components, including lights, speakers, cameras, microphones, and sensors. A smart brush may allow for computations through processors, memory, system-on-a-chip, applications, batteries, operating systems, and wired or wireless communication interfaces. It is also possible for the smart brush to connect with other electronic devices, including phones, tablets, and cameras in order to share electrical power and communicate over one or more interfaces. A smart brush may operate as an independent mobile device or within a smart home or other system with multiple computing devices, appliances, and sensors connected together within a network.
AN APPARATUS FOR DETECTING ORAL DISEASES AND HAZARDS
The present invention relates to an apparatus comprising an insertion member configured to be inserted to a user's mouth. The insertion member comprises one or more illumination sources, configured to illuminate a part of the user's mouth when inserted thereinto; one or more imaging devices configured to capture images of the user's mouth interior; and a processing module configured to receive images from the one or more imaging devices, process the images to data, and detect oral and/or dental anomalies from the processed images and send the processed images and data via wireless or wired connection to a physician or professional doctor for further analysis.
Personal care appliance with self-adaptive amplitude regulation via actuator non-linearity and active driving adjustment and method thereof
A personal care appliance 10 comprises an actuator 14, a current sensor 28 for monitoring a driving current, and a controller 24. The actuator 14, operable according to a non-linear response characteristic 58 of amplitude versus frequency, includes a movable shaft 18 configured for resonant movement 38 in response to a drive signal 25, further for being coupled with a workpiece 20. The controller 24 (i) detects at least one of a plurality of different characteristic load states (100,102,104,106,108,110) in response to a perturbation in the monitored driving current 29 and (ii) actively delivers the drive signal 25 to the actuator 14 selected from at least two different drive signals (66,70) as a function of a detected characteristic load state. In this manner, the controller 24 implements self-adaptive amplitude regulation of the movable shaft's resonant movement 38 among the plurality of difference characteristic load states that include additional loads of force, spring, mass, and/or damping to a given load state of a resonant spring mass system of actuator 14 coupled with workpiece 20.
