Emulsion compositions for priming a pavement surface
Aqueous base- or acid-stabilized emulsions are provided for use on a pavement surface, and for use in an aqueous priming base emulsion that is used for priming a pavement surface. Any of the emulsions can be applied to a pavement surface to form a primed pavement surface, and then cured so that the pavement is available for use in preparing a pavement.

Paving Process
Described herein is a process for paving a surface with an asphalt paving material, comprising the steps of laying asphalt paving material on a surface to be paved; and combining an asphalt rejuvenator and the asphalt paving material; wherein the asphalt rejuvenator and the asphalt paving material are combined immediately before, concurrently with, or immediately after the asphalt paving material is laid on the surface to be paved. The asphalt paving material may be virgin asphalt, or it may comprise reclaimed asphalt pavement and/or recycled asphalt shingles.
Paving Process

MIXED WASTE PLASTICS COMPATIBILIZERS FOR ASPHALT
An asphalt modifier includes bitumen, polyolefin particles, and one or more alkyl terephthalamides. Preparing an asphalt modifier includes combining one or more alkyl terephthalamides, polyolefin particles, and bitumen, and dispersing the polyolefin particles in the bitumen to yield the asphalt modifier. Digesting polyethylene terephthalate includes combining polyethylene terephthalate with an alkylamine or carboxyalkylamine to yield a reaction mixture, and heating the reaction mixture to a temperature between about 20° C. and about 300° C. to yield an alkyl terephthalamide.
MIXED WASTE PLASTICS COMPATIBILIZERS FOR ASPHALT
An asphalt modifier includes bitumen, polyolefin particles, and one or more alkyl terephthalamides. Preparing an asphalt modifier includes combining one or more alkyl terephthalamides, polyolefin particles, and bitumen, and dispersing the polyolefin particles in the bitumen to yield the asphalt modifier. Digesting polyethylene terephthalate includes combining polyethylene terephthalate with an alkylamine or carboxyalkylamine to yield a reaction mixture, and heating the reaction mixture to a temperature between about 20° C. and about 300° C. to yield an alkyl terephthalamide.

MAINTENANCE TREATMENTS USEFUL FOR IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF AGED OR BRITTLE RESINOUS BINDERS IN PAVING OR ROOFING
Provided herein are an emulsified asphalt product and an emulsified coating product. Both emulsified products contain one or more rejuvenators of formula (I) or formula (X). The emulsified asphalt product is useful for improving the performance of aged or brittle resinous binders in paving applications while the emulsified coating product is similarly useful in roofing applications. Also provided herein is a treated bituminous pavement where the performance grade varies with depth.
