PERSONAL CARE DEVICES

Proposed are schemes, solutions, concepts, designs, methods and systems pertaining to aiding and/or improving image acquisition from a vibratory personal care device having a camera. Embodiments propose mapping at least one region of the captured image to a position of the vibratory portion. Using the position of the vibratory portion the pixel shift for the at least one region can be calculated and pixel data then shifted to construct an image of improved quality. Thus, by compensating for the vibratory motion improved images (e.g. images exhibiting less distortion) may be constructed/generated.

HAIRBRUSH WITH IMPROVED TEMPERATURE CHARACTERISTICS
20170035193 · 2017-02-09 ·

A combination of a hairbrush having a brush head with a concave central portion and captive ends, along with a thermal coating that includes a desired amount of at least one of aluminum, silver, and/or diamond dust in the coating, results in a hairbrush that can be raised to approximately 200 F. in a short timeframe. A conventional hairbrush without either the coating or the captive ends was unable to achieve the desired temperature.

Electric toothbrush system with pressure detection

An electric toothbrushing device is disclosed, the device comprising means for producing vibration of a toothbrush head, means for producing an orientation signal indicating of an area of the mouth being brushed, and means for producing a pressure signal indicating a pressure applied to the toothbrush head. The device further comprises processing means arranged to link values of the orientation signal with values of the pressure signal in order to provide feedback to a user regarding a brushing pressure applied to each of a plurality of different areas of the mouth. By linking values of the orientation signal with values of the pressure signal, the user can be better informed about which parts of the mouth are being or have been brushed too hard. This can help the user to correct their brushing technique.

LIGHT-EMITTING HYGIENE DEVICE USING PCB-ATTACHED MOTOR
20250302185 · 2025-10-02 ·

The present invention relates to a light-based sanitation device using a PCB-mounted motor. The device consists of a main body, a PCB arranged inside the main body, a power button in the handle area, and a light source unit in the head area. A vibration motor is attached to the upper end of the handle section and soldered to the PCB via soldering. A toothbrush head is fastened to the light source unit, with at least one toothbrush bristle formed using a waveguide. This configuration reduces noise, improves vibration stability, and enhances user convenience. The device also simplifies the manufacturing process by configuring the existing PCB with multiple or segmented structures into a single-piece structure, leading to cost reduction and potential improvements in productivity.

Brush assembly

A brush assembly has a brush holder rotatable about a rotation axis, a ring brush carried on the holder and having an annular array of radially outwardly projecting bristles, and a stop element fixed adjacent the ring brush, of noncircular section. This stop element extends along and is rotatable about a longitudinal axis generally parallel to the rotation axis and projects into the array of bristles.

Hair color applicator

The present invention is directed to a hair color applicator. The hair color applicator may comprise an applicator brush and a base. The applicator brush may be operable to apply one or more hair colorings to hair. A trough in the base may hold the one or more hair colorings. One or more removable dividers may be coupled to the trough to separate the one or more hair colorings. The one or more hair colorings may be applied to a brush head of the applicator brush by placing the applicator brush on the base and rotating a plurality of bristles of the brush head through the trough. The one or more hair colorings may be applied to the hair by brushing the hair with the applicator brush.

Systems and methods for determining location and orientation of an oral care device

Systems and methods of determining a location of a brush head within a user's mouth during an oral care routine are provided. Example systems and methods involve: determining, during a learning phase, anchor points defining a quadrant of the mouth of the user and a pressure pattern based on pressure sensor data from a pressure sensor; wherein the pressure pattern includes at least two peaks corresponding to the first or second anchor points or a tooth; generating, during the oral care routine, a pressure signal including at least one peak, a longitudinal component indicating a direction the brush head is moving, and a transverse component indicating an amount of pressure being exerted; analyzing the pressure signal based on the anchor points and the pressure pattern determined during the learning phase; and estimating one or more locations of the brush head within the defined quadrant during the oral care routine.
