ANTI-INFECTION SURGICAL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR BIOFILM AGITATION
An agitation device that uses a variety of mechanical, acoustic, electrical, and chemical media in order to effectively remove biofilm from an infected implant. The brush head embodiments include numerous shapes and sizes tailored for specific applications. Irrigation, suction, drug delivery and capture capabilities are also provided.
POWER TOOTHBRUSH
A power toothbrush has a toothbrush head and a handle for driving the toothbrush head with a vibratory motion using drive parameters. The apply drive parameters are adapted based on a sensed pH level. In this way, the brushing can be adapted to the acidity levels presents, and thereby reduce the risk of damage to the teeth caused by excessively hard brushing in an acidic environment.
HAIRCARE MONITORING AND FEEDBACK
A computer-implemented method for generating feedback for a user performing haircare includes receiving a sequence of images of a head of the user and a haircare implement, the haircare implement being a hairstyling implement. The computer-implemented method also includes determining one or more implement motion parameters by tracking a position or an orientation of the haircare implement using the sequence of images. The computer-implemented method also includes determining a detangling event if one or more of: linear velocity, angular velocity, linear acceleration, and angular acceleration of the haircare implement is less than a corresponding detangling motion threshold, the detangling event being an event in which tangles from hair of the user are being removed. The computer-implemented method also includes generating feedback for providing to the user based on the determined detangling event.
Apparatus and method for performing a localization of a movable treatment device
A method and an apparatus for performing a localization of a movable treatment device having an inertial sensor and configured to treat a target surface. A motion pattern recognition device discriminates between two or more motion patterns contained in a set of motion patterns. An interface provides at least one inertial sensor data from the inertial sensor to the motion pattern recognition device. At least one inertial sensor data represents a movement of the movable treatment device. A neural network is configured to receive the at least one inertial sensor data and to map the at least one inertial sensor data to at least one motion pattern contained in the set of motion patterns associated with one or more different zones of the target surface so that the mapping of the at least one inertial sensor data with the at least one motion pattern indicates an estimation of the location of the device with respect to at least one zone of the target surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING ANGLE GUIDANCE FOR A USER OPERATING AN ORAL HYGIENE DEVICE
An oral hygiene device (100) including at least one sensor (104) to improve a user's operation of the oral hygiene device is provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the oral hygiene device includes a longitudinal shaft (102), an attachment assembly (112), a handle portion (110), a suspension system (106), at least two sensors (104a, 104b), and at least one processor (132). The at least one processor is operable to receive an amount of force applied to the attachment assembly, which is detected by the at least two sensors. An angle that the attachment assembly is applied is also determined, the angle being based on the detected amount of force. In one embodiment, the angle and the amount of force are displayed within a user interface to the user to help the user improve their oral hygiene technique.
Fastenable device for oral cavity position detection
A fastenable device includes a housing having a base portion, a head portion opposite to the base portion, and a body portion between the base portion and the head portion. The base portion has a first fastener in the form of a full ring integral to the housing and defining a through-hole. The head portion has a second fastener in the form of an open ring integral to the housing and defining a snappable recess. The device includes a frequency generator housed in the housing and electrically connected to an electrode pair disposed on the housing, for applying a voltage with at least two different frequencies between the electrodes.
Advanced Oral Hygiene Force Regulation and Technique Improvement Apparatus and Method
An apparatus and system for cleaning oral cavities via a device with predetermined optimally imposed methods to remove germs, bacteria, tartar and plaque, which have been clinically proven to cause gum disease and tooth loss, efficiently and with minimal abrasion to tooth enamel and gums. Variations of this disclosure include but are not limited to embodiments where the device utilizes any of the aforementioned components to achieve the intended function. However, a preferred embodiment of this disclosure comprises an electrically controlled magnetic field to allow optimal contact pressure in the mouth, a motion device capable of tracking motion coordinates to record daily cleaning methods and to inform recommendations and web enabled capability to store activity over time, a scrolling toothbrush and gum cleaning device or a stationary mouth guard device applying the same force dampening and applying technology in a more automated fashion.
Oral care personal challenges system and method
In one embodiment, the present disclosure is directed to a method for providing a personal toothbrushing challenge via an application of an electronic device. A user interface displays to a user of an electronic device, via a user interface, challenge parameters for creating a personal toothbrushing challenge, the challenge parameters including a type of challenge and a challenge period. The user interface receives from the user a parameter selection for each of the challenge parameters, each combination of parameter selections having a corresponding brushing expectation and point value. The electronic device receives brushing data from a user toothbrush indicative of user brushing activity, and determines, based on the brushing data, whether the user satisfied the brushing expectation corresponding with the combination of parameter selections. Upon determining that the user satisfied the brushing expectation, the user interface displays that the corresponding point value has been awarded to the user.
Apparatus for detecting oral diseases and hazards
The present invention relates to an apparatus comprising an insertion member configured to be inserted to a user's mouth. The insertion member comprises one or more illumination sources, configured to illuminate a part of the user's mouth when inserted thereinto; one or more imaging devices configured to capture images of the user's mouth interior; and a processing module configured to receive images from the one or more imaging devices, process the images to data, and detect oral and/or dental anomalies from the processed images and send the processed images and data via wireless or wired connection to a physician or professional doctor for further analysis.
PERSONAL CARE DEVICE WITH CAMERA
