Manual Force Sensitive Toothbrush
20210196039 · 2021-07-01 ·

A Manual Force Sensitive Toothbrush which includes a pivot section which couples a main beam section to a bristle beam section. The pivot section provides notification to user when force upon gumline is exceeded beyond the predetermined levels of force. The pivot is a manual system the connects and reconnects through the use of magnets. When magnets are in connect, the main beam and bristle beam sections provide the end user a gripping section and bristle section to carefully and effectively brush tooth and gums, adversely the force sensitive toothbrush releases upon excessive force applied against tooth and gum—creating a force sensitive section in the toothbrush as referred to as the pivot section. The release of the bristle beam section extends between 15-20 degrees from the resting plane of the main beam section. As further use, the bristle beam section bristle head backside has a thoughtfully designed indent for the use to apply an index finger to stabilize the main beam section with the bristle beam section to brush the tongue with ability to apply forces above that designed for the tooth and gum.

SMART TOOTHBRUSH CONTROL CIRCUIT, SMART TOOTHBRUSH, AND TOOTH-BRUSHING BEHAVIOR MONITORING METHOD

A smart toothbrush control circuit, a smart toothbrush, and a smart tooth-brushing behavior monitoring method are provided. The smart toothbrush control circuit includes: a main control module, a brush head module, a position detection module, and a pressure detection module. The main control module is connected to a cloud server by a smart terminal. The main control module uploads oral data to the cloud server so as to implement deep-level data analysis and processing on the oral data. The main control module generates a control signal according to the oral data, and the brush head module, the position detection module and the pressure detection module send a variety of behavior guidance and prompts to a user on the basis of the control signal. The smart terminal synchronously display a tooth-brushing behavior of the user on the basis of the control signal.

Method and system for a achieving optimal oral hygiene by means of feedback

An oral cleaning system (100, 200) configured to provide optimal oral cleaning using an oral cleaning device (10), the system capable of receiving, extracting, and assessing data from one or more sensors (28) of the oral cleaning device to determine whether optimal cleaning has been achieved during a primary oral cleaning session, and if not, generating a customized secondary cleaning routine configured to achieve optimized cleaning session. The customized secondary cleaning routine is offered to the user, and the system guides the user through the customized secondary cleaning routine to achieve optimal cleaning performance.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING PERSONALIZED ORAL CARE FEEDBACK TO A USER
20210112965 · 2021-04-22 ·

An oral care system and method for providing visual feedback to a user after usage sessions of an oral care device. The system includes a sensor module configured to collect data during usage sessions with the oral care device related to a longitudinal parameter representative of an oral health of a user. A memory module is configured to store the data. A data interpretation module is configured to retrieve historical usage data from the memory module and quantify oral health values from the historical data with respect to each of the longitudinal parameters. A decision module is configured to compare the oral health values to a set of reference values. A controller is configured to generate a control signal based on an output of the decision module. A visual feedback module of the oral care device is configured to operate in accordance with the control signal.

TOOTHBRUSH

A toothbrush, including a head, a handle, and a first rotating structure, and the head has a rotation axis (C1) extending in a length direction; the first rotating structure includes a rotating member connected to the head and a connecting member connected to the handle, the surface of the connecting member facing the head (20) is provided with an insertion groove extending along the rotation axis (C1), and the end of the rotating member facing away from the head is inserted into the insertion groove and is rotatably connected to the connecting member; the rotating member is provided with a first snap-fit member, and the connecting member is provided with a second snap-fit member; and when there are first snap-fit members and/or second snap-fit members, any one of the first snap-fit members can pass over each second snap-fit member in sequence while rotating along with the rotating member.

WEAR-OUT DETECTION FOR AN ORAL CARE DEVICE
20230404729 · 2023-12-21 ·

A wear-out assessment for an oral care system (14) (e.g. an oral cleaning device) is disclosed. A sensor unit (16) of the oral care system is adapted to provide a sensor signal related to a cleaning efficacy of a cleaning function of the oral care system. The sensor unit (16) may be, or may be coupled to, a component which is used during execution of an oral care function of the device, for example a sensor for detecting cleaning progress in the mouth, or a component which drives a cleaning or treatment action in the mouth. The sensor signal (20) is used for performing a wear-out assessment via monitoring characteristics of a signal which is indicative of progress of the oral cleaning efficacy during an operation session (e.g. a clean level in the mouth) and monitoring a length of time that it takes for a certain threshold of efficacy to be reached in a session. If the length of time is over a certain threshold, this can be an indication that the relevant components of the oral care system are wearing out.

Methods and systems for extracting brushing motion characteristics of a user using an oral hygiene device including at least one accelerometer to provide feedback to a user

Systems and methods for enhancing a user's efficiency while operating an oral hygiene device (10) is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, motion information of an oral hygiene device is received from one or more accelerometers (32) located within the oral hygiene device. The received motion information is compared to a targeted motion of the oral hygiene device. The user operating the oral hygiene device is then provided with feedback in response to determining that the received motion information is within a predefined range of the targeted motion information.
