The invention relates to a device comprising a cable and/or a cable accessory, said cable and/or cable accessory containing at least one insulating and fire-resistant layer, as well as to a method for manufacturing a cable and/or accessory of said type.
BARITE FOR HEAVY METAL REMOVAL
The present invention relates to the use of particulate mineral material comprising barite for scavenging heavy metal anions from a liquid medium, wherein the heavy metal anions form water-insoluble barium salts with barium cations of the barite, and wherein the particulate mineral material has a specific surface area of from 0.1 m.sup.2/g to 100 m.sup.2/g, measured using nitrogen sorption and the BET method.
FREE-FLOWING POWDER COMPRISING A POROUS SUBSTRATE FUNCTIONALIZED WITH AT LEAST ONE ACCELERATOR
A free-flowing powder composition includes at least one substrate having pores and an external surface between said pores, said surface functionalized with at least one accelerator for a hydraulic setting composition, said accelerator being liquid, hygroscopic, or deliquescent, and wherein after 15 minutes of immersion of free-flowing powder composition in water at 20° C. at least 80% in weight of said accelerator is solubilized, said free-flowing powder composition being immersed in an amount of water sufficient so that the saturation concentration of said accelerator cannot be reached. There is also a method for preparing said free-flowing powder composition. The use of said free-flowing powder composition as an additive for mortar or concrete composition provides an accelerating effect, an anti-ageing effect and an anti-dusting effect. A dry mortar or concrete composition includes a hydraulic binder, said free-flowing powder composition and a granulate, wet mortar or concrete composition and hardened body obtained therefrom.

Multi-component inorganic capsule anchoring system based on ground-granulated blast-furnace slag
A multi-component inorganic capsule anchoring system can be used for chemical fastening of anchors, bolts, screw anchors, screw bolts, and post-installed reinforcing bars in mineral substrates. The multi-component inorganic capsule anchoring system contains a curable powdery ground-granulated blast-furnace slag-based component A, and an initiator component B in aqueous-phase for initiating the curing process. The powdery ground-granulated blast-furnace slag-based component A contains further silica dust. The component B contains an alkali- or alkaline earth-hydroxide, alkali- or alkaline earth-carbonate, or alkali-or alkaline earth-sulfate component.
Nano-modified alkali-activated cementitious materials for rapid repair
A nano-modified dry-mixed alkali-activated cementitious, or one-part geopolymer cement (OPgC), material with high early strength is provided for rapid repair of cement-based infrastructure components. The OPgC may include an aluminosilicate rich material, an alkali material and a nano-modifier, and optionally include other functional admixtures and fibers. The OPgC can be freshly mixed with water to obtain a repairing material. The OPgC may mix with water and fine or coarse aggregate to form mortar or concrete. The OPgC can be an alternative binding matrix for the development of an environmentally friendly and cost effective rapid repair material.
