Magnetodielectric Y-phase strontium hexagonal ferrite materials formed by sodium substitution
Disclosed herein are embodiments of an enhanced resonant frequency hexagonal ferrite material and methods of manufacturing. The hexagonal ferrite material can be Y-phase strontium hexagonal ferrite material. In some embodiments, sodium can be added into the crystal structure of the hexagonal ferrite material in order to achieve high resonance frequencies while maintaining high permeability.

The present invention relates to a heating cooker using a ceramic heating element and a manufacturing method thereof, the method comprising: a cooker body preparation step; a heating element material preparation step of preparing any one or more selected from among mill scale, steelmaking slag and magnetite (Fe.sub.3O.sub.4); an inorganic binder preparation step of preparing, as an inorganic binder, a colloidal silica sol having a colloidal silica content of 8 to 30 wt %; a mixing step of mixing 20 to 40 parts by weight of the colloidal silica sol as the inorganic binder with 100 parts by weight of the heating element material, thereby making a heating material paste; an application step of applying the heating element paste to the bottom of the cooker body; and a drying and curing step of drying and curing the heating element paste, thereby forming a solid heating element.

Temperature insensitive dielectric constant garnets
Embodiments of synthetic garnet materials having advantageous properties, especially for below resonance frequency applications, are disclosed herein. In particular, embodiments of the synthetic garnet materials can have high Curie temperatures and dielectric constants while maintaining low magnetization. These materials can be incorporated into isolators and circulators, such as for use in telecommunication base stations.

Provided is a ferrite sintered magnet including a ferrite phase having a magnetoplumbite-type crystal structure. x, y, and m satisfy the following Equations (1), (2), and (3) when composition of the ferrite sintered magnet is represented by R.sub.1-xA.sub.xFe.sub.m-yCo.sub.y, where R denotes at least one kind of element selected from rare earth elements including Y and A denotes Ca or Ca and elements including at least one kind selected from Sr or Ba. The content of B in the ferrite sintered magnet is from 0.1% to 0.6% by mass in terms of B.sub.2O.sub.3.

Ferrite sintered body and coil component
A ferrite sintered body contains Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, and Ni. Supposing that Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, and Ni are converted into Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, Mn.sub.2O.sub.3, ZnO, CuO, and NiO, respectively, and the sum of the contents of Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, Mn.sub.2O.sub.3, ZnO, CuO, and NiO is 100 mol %, the sum of the contents of Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 and Mn.sub.2O.sub.3 is 48.47 mol % to 49.93 mol %, the content of Mn.sub.2O.sub.3 is 0.07 mol % to 0.37 mol %, the content of ZnO is 28.95 mol % to 33.50 mol %, and the content of CuO is 2.98 mol % to 6.05 mol %. Furthermore, 102 ppm to 4,010 ppm Zr in terms of ZrO.sub.2 and 10 ppm to 220 ppm Al in terms of Al.sub.2O.sub.3 are contained per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the amounts of contained Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, Mn.sub.2O.sub.3, ZnO, CuO, and NiO.
M-TYPE HEXAFERRITE COMPRISING A LOW DIELECTRIC LOSS CERAMIC
In an aspect, an M-type ferrite, comprises oxides of Me, Me′, Me″, Co, Ti, and Fe; wherein Me is at least one of Ba, Sr, or Pb; Me′ is at least one of Ti, Zr, Ru, or Ir; and Me″ is at least one of Mg or Ca. In another aspect, a method of making an M-type ferrite comprises milling ferrite precursor compounds comprising oxides of at least Co, Fe, Ti, Me, Me′, and Me″, to form an oxide mixture; wherein Me comprises at least one of Ba, Sr, or Pb; Me′ is at least one of Ti, Zr, Ru, or Ir; and Me″ is at least one of Mg or Ca; and calcining the oxide mixture in an oxygen or air atmosphere to form the M-type ferrite.
Ferrite particles for bonded magnets, resin composition for bonded magnets, and molded product using the same
According to the present invention, there are provided ferrite particles for bonded magnets and a resin composition for bonded magnets which are capable of producing a bonded magnet molded product having a good tensile elongation and exhibiting excellent magnetic properties, as well as a bonded magnet molded product such as a rotor which is obtained by using the resin composition. The present invention relates to ferrite particles for bonded magnets having a bulk density of not less than 0.5 g/cm.sup.3 and less than 0.6 g/cm.sup.3 and a degree of compaction of not less than 65%, a resin composition for bonded magnets using the ferrite particles, and a molded product obtained by using the ferrite particles and the resin composition.

Modified Ni—Zn ferrites for radiofrequency applications
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to using cobalt (Co) to fine tune the magnetic properties, such as permeability and magnetic loss, of nickel-zinc ferrites to improve the material performance in electronic applications. The method comprises replacing nickel (Ni) with sufficient Co.sup.+2 such that the relaxation peak associated with the Co.sup.+2 substitution and the relaxation peak associated with the nickel to zinc (Ni/Zn) ratio are into near coincidence. When the relaxation peaks overlap, the material permeability can be substantially maximized and magnetic loss substantially minimized. The resulting materials are useful and provide superior performance particularly for devices operating at the 13.56 MHz ISM band.
