Method for molding ceramic material, method for producing ceramic article, and ceramic article
A method for molding a ceramic material includes: mixing a ceramic powder, a resin, a curing agent and a solvent to obtain a raw material slurry for a ceramic material; injecting the raw material slurry into an elastic container; curing the resin in the raw material slurry injected into the elastic container to form a molded body having a desired shape; and demolding the molded body from the elastic container.
Thermal insulation member
A thermal insulation member is directly or indirectly sandwiched between a first object and a second object and thereby suppresses or interrupts heat transfer between the first object and the second object. The thermal insulation member comprises: a first main surface opposed to the first object; and a second main surface positioned on the opposite side from the first main surface and opposed to the second object. The thermal insulation member has a porous structure of ceramic having pores. ZrO.sub.2 particles and different type material exist on surfaces of the ZrO.sub.2 particles form a skeleton of the porous structure. The different type material includes at least one selected out of SiO.sub.2, TiO.sub.2, La.sub.2O.sub.3, and Y.sub.2O.sub.3.

Compositions and methods for refractory coatings with ester carriers
This technology relates to refractory coatings used in metal casting by the foundry industry. Refractory coatings are often used to coat foundry cores and molds for the purpose of improving the quality of castings formed in connection with the cores or molds, particularly at the surface of the casting. Whereas traditional coatings comprise water based solvents that require excessive drying times or HAPs that emit hazardous VOCs, preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise refractory coatings having VOC-exempt ester based solvents, such as DMC. Other preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise methods for reduction of VOC content in a foundry article.
CERAMIC POWDER FOR TIMEPIECE
A ceramic powder for a ceramic component, in particular based on zirconia and/or alumina, in particular for a timepiece or jewelry piece. The powder includes at least one noble metal among platinum, rhodium, osmium, palladium, ruthenium and iridium, at a quantity of less than or equal to 5% by weight.
