The invention provides a UV illumination device for sterilizing and disinfecting a desired item or area. The UV illumination device comprises a base of a fixed housing. The base comprises a pair of electrical terminals establishing connection with external power source. A movable housing is connected to the fixed housing through a mechanical joint. The movable housing includes a plurality of light sources, a motor, an adjustment lens, a camera unit, a memory unit, and a controlling unit connected to the camera unit and the memory unit. The plurality of light sources, the camera unit, the memory unit and the controlling unit are mounted on a base plate. The controlling unit includes a processor configured to perform certain computing operations in order to control adjustment in the direction of UV illumination by the UV illumination device.

The brush holders receive cosmetic brushes. The controller operates the fan and the UV light to clean and sanitize the cosmetic brushes. The cosmetic brushes are removed from the first housing and placed in the second housing to dry the cosmetic brushes.

The applicator tool cleaning apparatus has a cleaning chamber that can dispense liquid to saturate the applicator heads and contact the applicator heads with a textured surface to dislodge collected materials on the applicator heads and a drying chamber where drying mechanisms blow air or dissipate heat at the applicator heads until dried. The applicator tool holder may be moved vertically between the cleaning chamber and the drying chamber via a motor and drive mechanism. Alternatively, the applicator tool holder may be flipped such that the applicator heads are facing upwards and aligned with the drying mechanisms.

ORAL CARE SYSTEM WITH SANITIZATION FUNCTION

An oral care system (10) comprises an oral care device (12). The oral care device is designed to either comprise or attach to a cleaning or treatment portion (14), e.g. a brush head or mouthpiece. The oral care device thus has a cleaning or treatment function. The oral care device is further provided with an electromagnetic (EM) field or radiation generator (22) adapted to generate and emit radio or microwave frequency electromagnetic energy in a space around an emitter arrangement (24) (sanitization area) used to emit the radiation or field. The EM emissions are configured to have electromagnetic properties suitable for heating water or water-containing fluid located within the sanitization area (34). This allows for a sanitization or disinfection function in a dedicated mode, wherein the EM emissions of the EM generator causes heating to a temperature of at least 50 C., preferably at least 70 C., of water on any surfaces of the cleaning or treatment portion located within the sanitization area, the heating having a sanitization or disinfection effect.
