STYLING DEVICE
A styling device for hair, comprising protrusions, wherein the protrusions comprise a blend of a high molecular weight polyethylene oxide and a water insoluble polymer.
SELF-DISPENSING LOW VOLUME APPLICATOR
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a fluid dispensing device that includes a dispensing bristle for selectively dispensing fluid onto an application surface. In an illustrative example, the fluid dispensing device may include a tapered cylindrical valve for flow control. For example, upon applying a predetermined pressure, the tapered cylindrical valve may be opened, allowing the fluid dispensing device to dispense a small amount of fluid (e.g., medicine, soap, shampoo, coconut oil, plant extract combinations) onto an application surface. Various embodiments may advantageously allow a user to dispense a selective amount of the medicine to the scalp.
HAIRSTYLING APPARATUSES AND RELATED METHODS
A hairstyling apparatus is shown. The apparatus includes a heated barrel with a central axis. R also includes a heating element connected with the barrel and a hair styling tool extending along a longitudinal length of the hairstyling surface and configured to rotate around the central axis of the barrel, the hairstyling tool including a comb portion comprising a plurality of bristles that protrude in a direction away from the hairstyling surface and a grooved portion comprising a plurality of grooves that expose the hairstyling surface.
ROTATING BRISTLE DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A material treatment device intended for use for human or animal hair includes a plurality of rods arranged circumferentially as part of a rod barrel and a handle attached to the rod barrel for rotatable support thereof. A mechanism is provided to rotate the rod barrel in a first direction and a second mechanism is provided to rotate each of the rods separately from the rod barrel in a second direction opposite the first direction. The material being contacted by the rods during use of the hair treatment device rolls away from the contacted rod in the second direction or permitting each of the rods to freely spin during rod barrel rotation. The device can also include bristles that move with respect to the rod barrel or are fixed thereto, the bristles moving with the rod barrel rotation.
REUSABLE CARTRIDGE SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS
Formulation delivery systems, formulation delivery devices, and formulation cartridges for the same are provided. Formulation delivery systems include a reusable handle, a formulation dispensing assembly, and a controller. The formulation dispensing assembly includes a reciprocating nozzle assembly and a pump. The reciprocating nozzle assembly is fluidically-coupleable to the formulation cartridge or the cleaning cartridge received within the reusable handle. Formulation delivery devices include a reusable handle configured to receive a formulation cartridge therein, and a formulation dispensing assembly disposed in the reusable handle. The formulation dispensing assembly includes fluid conduits, a pump fluidically connected to the fluid conduits, a reciprocating nozzle assembly, and a controller. Formulation cartridges include a reusable cartridge body and a formulation cartridge refill unit.
BRUSH
A brush is described that includes a plurality of bristles secured to a carrier. Each bristle includes a through-hole into which the carrier projects.
HAIR CARE APPLIANCE
A hair care appliance is provided. The hair care appliance includes a handle and a body coupled to the handle via a rotational hinge joint. The body can be movable via the rotational hinge joint between a straight configuration in which the body is aligned with a longitudinal axis of the handle and a bent configuration in which the body extends along an axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the handle. A fluid flow path extends between an inlet in the handle and an outlet in the body. The hair care appliance can be operated with minimal loss of fluid flow in either the straight configuration and the bent configuration. The hair care appliance includes a fan assembly in the handle and a heater assembly in the body that are positioned to create a balanced center of mass of the hair care appliance when operated by a user.
BRUSH
A brush is described that includes a body, a carrier, a plurality of bristles and a frame. Each bristle is secured to the carrier and extends through a respective hole in the frame. The carrier deforms in response to pivoting of each bristle, and is held between the body and the frame at each bristle.
HAIR DRYER ATTACHMENT
An attachment for a hair dryer that is movable between a first position and a second position in order to alter one or more characteristics of the airflow therethrough. In one embodiment, an attachment having multiple facets and types of projections with varying stiffness are provided on an outer housing that can be rotated relative to a base by the user. In a second embodiment, an attachment having a concave surface with prongs extending therethrough that can be moved such that the exposed portion of the prongs are lengthened or shortened, as desired.
HAND HELD APPLIANCE
A handheld appliance having a body and an attachment, the body includes an attachment mechanism having a slot and an actuator, the attachment including a protrusion adapted to engage with the slot wherein the actuator has a first position and a second position and the actuator is moved from the first position towards the second position as the protrusion engages with the slot. In the first position the actuator may at least partially obscures the slot. The actuator includes a surface which may interact with the protrusion when the protrusion engages with the slot. The surface may be adapted to at least partially define the slot at or near the second position. When the protrusion is at a pre-determined position within the slot, the actuator may return towards the first position. The actuator may be biased into the first position.
