Emulsion compositions for priming a pavement surface
Aqueous base- or acid-stabilized emulsions are provided for use on a pavement surface, and for use in an aqueous priming base emulsion that is used for priming a pavement surface. Any of the emulsions can be applied to a pavement surface to form a primed pavement surface, and then cured so that the pavement is available for use in preparing a pavement.
Method for selecting the composition of a construction material comprising an excavated clay soil, method and system for preparing such a construction material
The invention relates to a method (100) for selecting the composition of a construction material including an excavated clay soil, said construction material composition to include deflocculating agent and activating agent quantities adapted to the excavated clay soil, said method including a step of receiving (130) a measured value of at least one physicochemical property of an excavated clay soil, and a step of selecting (170) a deflocculating agent quantity and an activating agent quantity adapted to the excavated clay soil. In addition, the invention also relates to a method (200) for calibrating a calculation algorithm for determining the composition of a site construction material, to a construction material formed from an excavated clay soil, and to a system (400) for preparing a construction material including an excavated clay soil.

MAINTENANCE TREATMENTS USEFUL FOR IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF AGED OR BRITTLE RESINOUS BINDERS IN PAVING OR ROOFING
Provided herein are an emulsified asphalt product and an emulsified coating product. Both emulsified products contain one or more rejuvenators of formula (I) or formula (X). The emulsified asphalt product is useful for improving the performance of aged or brittle resinous binders in paving applications while the emulsified coating product is similarly useful in roofing applications. Also provided herein is a treated bituminous pavement where the performance grade varies with depth.

CONCRETE HARDENER COMPOSITION
Provided is a concrete hardener composition. The concrete hardener composition includes a sodium silicate compound, an acid compound and a balance amount of solvent. The sodium silicate compound includes sodium silicate or a mixture of sodium silicate and sodium methylsilicate. The acid compound includes acetic acid, glycolic acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, tartaric acid, nitric acid, boric acid or a combination thereof. The solvent includes water or a mixed solution of water and polyol. Based on the total weight of the concrete hardener composition, the content of silicon is between 5 wt % and 15 wt %, and the content of the acid compound is between 2 wt % and 30 wt %.
FOAMED LIGHTWEIGHT REFRACTORY MONOLITHIC COMPOSITION
A foamed lightweight monolithic refractory castable is provided. The castable includes one or more refractory aggregates as a main constituent, one or more foaming additives in a range of 0.1 wt % to 3.0 wt %, one or more cellulosic powder air-entraining additives in a range of 0.005 wt % to 2.0 wt %, one or more binders in a range of 1 wt % to 40 wt %, and one or more superplasticizers in a range of 0.05 wt % to 0.5 wt %. The refractory aggregates include at least one of alumina and silica. The foaming additives include at least one of alkylbenzene sulfonates, alkene sulfonates, and hydroxylalkane sulfates. The superplasticizers include at least one of sodium polyacrylates, naphthalene sulfonates, polyethylene glycols, polycarboxylates, polyacrylates, and polycarboxylate ethers.
Fluidized sand and method of density control
A fluidized sand composition for use as a filling material for sinkholes and the like weakened ground cavities. The fluidized sand composition is produced by mixing graded sand, water, a fluidizer, a plasticizer, and a surface active agent. The fluidized sand composition is easily injected into the ground cavity of a sinkhole. After filling, the fluidized sand composition will return to the solid natural condition according to the effect of plasticizer previously added. The fluidized sand composition allows for compaction, soil stabilization, permits water migration through the material, and can be easily excavated.
