A porous body including an inorganic fiber and an organic binder, wherein the average fiber diameter of the inorganic fiber is 2.0 μm or less, the amount of the inorganic fiber is 90% by mass or more, the amount of the organic binder is 0.5% by mass or more and 10% by mass or less, the organic binder contains an elastomer, and the bulk density of the porous body is 30 kg/m.sup.3 or less.

Provided herein are an emulsified asphalt product and an emulsified coating product. Both emulsified products contain one or more rejuvenators of formula (I) or formula (X). The emulsified asphalt product is useful for improving the performance of aged or brittle resinous binders in paving applications while the emulsified coating product is similarly useful in roofing applications. Also provided herein is a treated bituminous pavement where the performance grade varies with depth.

Fluidized sand and method of density control
A fluidized sand composition for use as a filling material for sinkholes and the like weakened ground cavities. The fluidized sand composition is produced by mixing graded sand, water, a fluidizer, a plasticizer, and a surface active agent. The fluidized sand composition is easily injected into the ground cavity of a sinkhole. After filling, the fluidized sand composition will return to the solid natural condition according to the effect of plasticizer previously added. The fluidized sand composition allows for compaction, soil stabilization, permits water migration through the material, and can be easily excavated.

Any of the emulsions can be applied to a pavement surface to form a primed pavement surface, and then cured so that the pavement is available for use in preparing a pavement.
EMULSION COMPOSITIONS FOR PRIMING A PAVEMENT SURFACE
Aqueous base- or acid-stabilized emulsions are provided for use on a pavement surface, and for use in an aqueous priming base emulsion that is used for priming a pavement surface. Any of the emulsions can be applied to a pavement surface to form a primed pavement surface, and then cured so that the pavement is available for use in preparing a pavement.
