SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FOUR-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING OF CERAMIC ORIGAMI STRUCTURES
A system and method of constructing a 4D-printed ceramic object includes extruding inks including particles and polymeric ceramic precursors through a nozzle to deposit the inks on a heating plate, whereby a 3D-printed elastomeric object is formed on the heating plate, folding the 3D-printed elastomeric object into a complex structure to form a 4D-printed pre-strained elastomeric object, and converting the 4D-printed elastomeric object into the 4D-printed ceramic object.
HIGH SOLIDS CELLULOSE ETHER AND SUPERPLASTICIZER DISPERSION
The present invention provides pourable aqueous dispersion compositions of (a) one or more cellulose ethers and (b) one or more superplasticizers stably suspended in an aqueous dispersion of (c) one or more stabilizers in the form of a colloidal dispersion, further containing (d) one or more monovalent salts, such as an alkali metal salt. The minimum total amount of the cellulose ether, as solids in the pourable aqueous dispersion is 8 wt. % or, preferably, 12 wt. % or, preferably, 14 wt. % and the solids weight ratio of total cellulose ether to salt is close to 1:1, ranging, for example, from 0.7:1 to 1.4:1. Further, the amounts of the (a) one or more cellulose ethers and the (b) one or more superplasticizers enable the provision of pourable aqueous dispersion compositions effective for use in cement applications by simple dilution with water.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CERAMIC FORMED BODY
A manufacturing method of a ceramic formed body, including: a mixing step in which a raw material for forming a ceramic formed body is dryly mixed, and then, a liquid is added to the obtained dry mixture to wetly mix the mixture; a kneading step in which a mixture obtained in the mixing step is kneaded; an injection step in which supercritical carbon dioxide in the state of supercritical fluid is injected into a kneaded product obtained in the kneading step; and a forming step in which a forming raw material containing the supercritical carbon dioxide obtained in the kneading step and the injection step is extruded to form the ceramic formed body.
FEEDSTOCK FOR 3D PRINTING AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a suspension comprising 50-95% by weight of the total suspension (w/w) of at least one metallic material and/or ceramic material and/or polymeric material and/or solid carbon containing material; and at least 5% by weight of the total suspension of one or more fatty acids or derivatives thereof. In addition, the invention relates to uses of such suspension in 3D printing processes.
Processes for the manufacture of lightweight ceramic materials and articles produced thereby
In a process for manufacturing foamed material an expansion agent, a ceramic base material and water are blended together. The blend is heated and pressurized to homogenize and liquefy or plasticize it. The blend is then extruded through a die where, in the course of the extrusion, superheated water in the blend vaporizes to foam the blend. To make articles of manufacture, extrudate is cut to length, machined and fired, or is injection molded while still malleable and then fired.
Apparatus and method for the production of buildings
A concrete mixture is forced through a nozzle by an extruder. An applicator has: a body adapted for vertical movement; a primary arm mounted to the body for movement about a vertical axis, the arm being elongate, having ends, having a vertical axis adjacent one end and having a counterweight adjacent the other end; a secondary arm defining a vertical axis, extending from the vertical axis defined by the primary arm and configured for movement about said vertical axis; a tertiary arm mounted for movement along the secondary arm vertical axis; a rotator carried by the tertiary arm and which carries the nozzle and rotates the nozzle about a vertical axis; a primary rotation mechanism for rotating the primary arm about the primary arm axis; an actuator providing for movement of the secondary arm about the vertical axis; and an elevation mechanism providing for said tertiary arm vertical movement.
Efficient integration of manufacturing of upcycled concrete product into power plants
A manufacturing process of a concrete product includes: (1) extracting calcium from solids as portlandite; (2) forming a cementitious slurry including the portlandite; (3) shaping the cementitious slurry into a structural component; and (4) exposing the structural component to carbon dioxide sourced from a flue gas stream, thereby forming the concrete product.
POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE CONTAINING COMPOSITE FILM AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides a composite film containing polyethylene terephthalate, which comprises inorganic mineral powder, polyethylene terephthalate, an auxiliary plastic, and an auxiliary agent. The present invention also provides a method of preparing the composite film, which comprises internally mixing inorganic mineral powder, polyethylene terephthalate, an auxiliary plastic, and an auxiliary agent to form a composite soft material; configuring the composite soft material to be in a sheet shape; and stretching the composite soft material to form a composite film.
COMPRESSED CONCRETE BLOCK WITH LOW MASS PER UNIT AREA COMPRISING A RAW CLAY MATRIX AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
The invention concerns a compressed concrete block comprising a raw clay matrix, a calcined metal oxide composition and aggregates, said compressed concrete block having a basis weight less than or equal to 600 kg/m.sup.2.
The invention further proposes a preparation method (100) for a compressed concrete block having a basis weight less than or equal to 600 kg/m.sup.2, said method comprising the following steps: mixing (110) a raw clay matrix, a calcined metal oxide composition, aggregates and water; placing (120) the resulting mixture in molds; applying (140) pressure to one surface of the molded mixture, preferably the top surface; removing (160) the compressed concrete blocks from the molds, so as to obtain a compressed concrete block with a basis weight less than or equal to 600 kg/m.sup.2.
ROOFING TILE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A ROOFING TILE
