CATALYTIC COMPOSITION AND STRUCTURES MADE THEREOF
Methods use a catalytic composition built up from a ceramic material including a catalytic material and a first inorganic binder and a second inorganic binder and a catalytic structure made thereof. Preferably, the structure is made by a colloidal ceramic shaping technique. The structure is used for catalytic or ion exchange applications. The catalytic structures have excellent mechanical, physicochemical and catalytic properties.
BINDER WITH MAGNESIC BASE AND PROCESS FOR THE ADDITIVE PRODUCTION OF MANUFACTURED ITEMS WITH SUCH BINDER
Binder for the additive production of manufactured items, in particular made of conglomerate, adapted to be distributed on a layer of inert granular material in order to form a rigid matrix incorporating the granules of the inert granular material. The binder according to the invention is a substantially inorganic hydraulic binder with magnesium phosphate cement base. Also forming the object of the present invention is a process for the additive production of manufactured items by means of the use of the aforesaid binder and the use of a hydraulic binder with magnesium phosphate cement base as binder in the additive production of manufactured items.
DEPOSITION OF CLAY STRUCTURES
A method of printing includes mixing a clay mixture with an alkaline agent to form a printable mixture; forming pellets from the printable mixture; ejecting the pellets from a print head onto a printing surface; and curing the pellets.
ONE-STEP FORMATION OF AN INTEGRATED COMPOSITE STRUCTURE COMPRISING CURED MORTAR LAYERS AND A POLYURETHANE LAYER BY 3D PRINTING
The present invention relates to a process of fabricating a multi-layer composite structure by 3D printing, said composite structure comprises at least one cured mortar layer formed by curing of a mortar composition, and at least one polyurethane layer formed by polymerization of a first polyurethane forming composition, wherein said mortar composition and said first polyurethane forming composition are dispensed individually and simultaneously via adjacent printing nozzles. The mortar composition is optionally modified by a second polyurethane forming composition.
HYDRAULIC COMPOSITION FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CASTING MOLD
A hydraulic composition for an additive manufacturing device, the hydraulic composition containing at least sand, an inorganic binder, and polyvinyl alcohol, wherein the hydraulic composition for an additive manufacturing device satisfies conditions (1) and (2). (1) The mass ratio of sand/(inorganic binder+polyvinyl alcohol) is 4 to 12. (2) The mass ratio of polyvinyl alcohol/inorganic binder is 0.1 to 0.4.
The hydraulic composition for an additive manufacturing device also preferably satisfies condition (3). (3) The mass ratio of water/(inorganic binder+polyvinyl alcohol) is 0.30 to 1.30.
ALUMINOSILICATE
An aluminosilicate having a pozzolanic activity of greater than about 1400 mg Ca(OH).sub.2 per gram of aluminosilicate. An aluminosilicate having a pozzolanic activity of less than about 1400 mg Ca(OH).sub.2 per gram of aluminosilicate and a d.sub.50 of 200 μm or less. Binder compositions, clinker compositions and concrete compositions comprising said aluminosilicates. A method of making said aluminosilicates. A clinker composition comprising a first aluminosilicate (e.g. kaolin) and a use of said clinker composition to make a composition comprising said aluminosilicates.
Inorganic polymers and use thereof in composite materials
The invention relates to a new inorganic polymer which is based on modified water glass, is characterized by numerous unusual properties and can be used as a substitute for, for example, concrete, cement, and ceramics.
METHOD OF PRODUCING INSULATING THREE-DIMENSIONAL (3D) STRUCTURES USING 3D PRINTING
A method of manufacturing a highly insulating three-dimensional (3D) structure is provided. The method includes depositing a first layer of hollow microspheres onto a base. The hollow microspheres have a metallic coating formed thereon. A laser beam is scanned over the hollow microspheres so as to sinter the metallic coating of the hollow microspheres at predetermined locations. At least one layer of the hollow microspheres is deposited onto the first layer. Scanning by the laser beam is repeated for each successive layer until a predetermined 3D structure is constructed. The 3D structure includes a composite thermal barrier coating (TBC), which may be applied to a surface of components within an internal combustion engine, and the like. The composite TBC is bonded to the components of the engine to provide low thermal conductivity and low heat capacity insulation that is sealed against combustion gasses.
CEMENTITIOUS MIXTURE FOR A 3D PRINTER, WITH IMPROVED PERFORMANCE, AND RELATIVE USE IN SAID PRINTER
A cementitious mixture for a 3D printer, with improved performance, is described, and its relative use, more specifically for the production of finished products having a complex geometry using a 3D printing apparatus.
Spatial heat treatment of additively manufactured objects
A matrix material dispersed with one or more susceptor structures can be formed into a feedstock for an additive manufacturing process. The one or more susceptor structures can be excited by an energy field such as an electric field, a magnetic field, an electromagnetic field, or any combination thereof, to produce heat. The heat that is produced can be transferred to the matrix material that surrounds the one or more susceptor structures to provide heat treatment to the matrix material. The heat treatment can improve the material and mechanical properties of three dimensional objects formed from the feedstock.
