AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL CHEMICAL AGENT CONTAINING NEW IMIDAZOPYRIDINE-2-CARBOXAMIDE DERIVATIVE AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Provided is a compound useful as an active ingredient of an agricultural and horticultural chemical agent, in particular, an agricultural and horticultural pest control agent such as an agricultural and horticultural insecticide or an agricultural and horticultural mite control agent. The compound is an imidazopyridine-2-carboxamide derivative or its N-oxide or salt represented by the following formula (1):

in the formula, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are, for example, C.sub.1-3 alkyl groups, X is, for example, an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, A.sup.1, A.sup.2, A.sup.3, A.sup.4, and A.sup.5 are each independently a nitrogen atom or C—R.sup.3, R.sup.3 is, for example, a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1-3 haloalkyl group, and R.sup.4 is, for example, a C.sub.1-3 alkyl group or a C.sub.1-3 haloalkyl group.

The present invention relates to agricultural methods and the use of an insecticidal active carboxamide derivative in seed treatment and soil application methods.
The insecticidal carboxamide derivative is highly suitable alone or in combination with other active agricultural ingredients for controlling animal pests such as insects and/or spider mites and/or nematodes by treating the soil/growth substrate by drenching or drip application or dipping or soil injection.

The present invention relates to novel heteroaryl-triazole compounds of the general formula (I), in which the structural elements X, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 have the meaning given in the description, to formulations and compositions comprising such compounds and for their use in the control of animal pests including arthropods and insects in plant protection and to their use for control of ectoparasites on animals.

PEST CONTROL METHOD, PEST CONTROL AGENT COMPOSITION, AND PEST CONTROL AGENT SET
An object of the present invention is to provide a method which does not have a problem with safety and enables controlling various pests even at a low dosage, and a pest control agent composition and a pest control agent set which are suitable to be used for the method. In the pest control method of the present invention, at least one compound selected from a compound of formula (I) (wherein, in formula (I), R.sup.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkylthio group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkylsulfinyl group, or the like, R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkyl group, R represents a C1-6 haloalkyl group or a C2-6 haloalkenyl group, X represents a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-6 alkenyl group, or the like, n represents any integer of 0 to 4, and Xs are the same or different when n is 2 or more) and a salt thereof is applied with an insecticidal or acaricidal active component to an object.
