SELF-PROPELLED MERGER
A self-propelled windrow merger includes a motor and a chassis. At the front of the merger are a first pickup and transfer assembly, a second pickup and transfer assembly and a third pickup and transfer assembly. A cab is above and behind the second pickup and transfer assembly. A folding mechanism for moves each of the pickup and transfer assemblies between a first position wherein the first, second and third pickup and transfer assemblies are laterally aligned and a second position wherein the first and third pickup and transfer assemblies are positioned rear of the cab.
LAND ROLLER
A land roller is provided with an over-center locking linkage arrangement to help lock a roller frame of the land roller into a raised transport configuration to reduce the likelihood that a failure of the actuator system could cause the roller frame to inadvertently fall and injure a person or cause damage to property. The land roller may be further provided with actuators that are controlled in temporal series from a single controller to simplify and increase the safety of both converting the land roller between the transport configuration and a working configuration and converting side frame sections of the land roller between folded and unfolded positions.

Sensors are coupled to each frame section to detect a height of the respective frame section relative to an underlying surface. A control unit is disposed in electrical communication with the sensors and operably controls the actuators to adjust the height of each frame section.

A method for reducing an overall transport profile of a multi-section tillage implement. The tillage implement includes a frame including a center frame section and at least one wing frame section. The tillage implement includes a plurality of ground-engaging tools pivotally mounted to the frame. The method includes pivoting each of the plurality of ground-engaging tools away from the ground surface from a ground-engaging position to a retracted position. The frame is disposed at an initial height relative to the ground surface before pivoting. After pivoting, the frame is lowered to a transport height relative to the ground surface. At least one wing frame section is folded relative to the center frame section from an operating position to a transport position to reduce a width of the tillage implement in the widthwise direction.
Methods for reducing an overall transport profile of a multi-section tillage implement
A method for reducing an overall transport profile of a multi-section tillage implement. The tillage implement includes a frame including a center frame section and at least one wing frame section. The tillage implement includes a plurality of ground-engaging tools pivotally mounted to the frame. The method includes pivoting each of the plurality of ground-engaging tools away from the ground surface from a ground-engaging position to a retracted position. The frame is disposed at an initial height relative to the ground surface before pivoting. After pivoting, the frame is lowered to a transport height relative to the ground surface. At least one wing frame section is folded relative to the center frame section from an operating position to a transport position to reduce a width of the tillage implement in the widthwise direction.
TILLAGE IMPLEMENT HAVING HYDRAULIC DOWN-PRESSURE
A tillage implement has a frame with a center section and first and second outer wing sections hingedly attached the center section such that the wing sections can be operably raised and lowered between a field-working position and a transport position. The sections each carry tillage tools for working the soil. Controlling a precharge in a secondary side of a hydraulic circuit enables the operator of the implement to adjust the downward pressure precharge provided by a plurality of hydraulic cylinders based on a desired stiffness of the implement. A pressure-reducing valve is configured such that flow from the hydraulic supply applies downward pressure precharge on the plurality of tillage tools. Once this desired precharge has been achieved, flow from the hydraulic supply is shut off and a check valve holds the pressure such that the plurality of hydraulic cylinders holds the tillage tools in position.
AGRICULTERAL MACHINE WITH ADDITIONAL AXLE
An agricultural machine has a linkage system for hitching of an implement and an additional axle mounted to the linkage system. The linkage system includes at least one lift arm adjustably mounted to the chassis at an inner end and carrying a fastening device at an outer end. The additional axle is connected to at least one lift arm inboard of the fastening device. The linkage assembly may be a three-point linkage assembly having two lower lift arms, the additional axle being mounted between the lower lift arms.
Self-Propelled Agricultural Machine
The invention relates to a self-propelled agricultural machine, for example a self-propelled merger, which self-propelled agricultural machine is provided with at least one motor, at least two elongate units for, in use, performing an agricultural operation on the land, a front wheel axle and a rear wheel axle situated at a distance from the front wheel axle, wherein the front wheel axle and/or the rear wheel axle can be driven by means of the motor for displacing the agricultural machine, wherein each elongate unit is displaceable from a transportation position to a working position and vice versa by means of a folding mechanism, so that the maximum width of the self-propelled agricultural machine is smaller in the transportation position of the units than in the working position of the units, wherein, in the working position, the agricultural operation on the land can be performed substantially along the length of each elongate unit.
