PHENALKAMINE EPOXY CURING AGENTS FROM METHYLENE BRIDGED POLY(CYCLOHEXYL-AROMATIC) AMINES AND EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a new structural class of phenalkamine, phenalkamine curing agent compositions, methods of making such phenalkamine, and methods of making such compositions. The phenalkamine curing agent compositions of the present invention can be prepared by reacting cardanol with an aldehyde compound and a mixture of methylene bridged poly(cycloaliphatic-aromatic)amines. These curing-agent compositions may be used to cure, harden, and/or crosslink an epoxy resin.
SILICON MODIFIED VINYL ACETATE ETHYLENE COPOLYMERS
This disclosure relates to silicon modified vinyl acetate ethylene copolymers and to emulsions and articles of manufacture based on the same.
METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR LIGHTNING PROTECTION
A particulate composition suitable for protection against lightning is disclosed. The particulate composition comprises of a particulate matter comprising a mineral compound, preferably black tourmaline, capable of emitting negatively charged ions continuously, a grinding auxiliary agent, and a liquid medium. The particulate composition is embedded in a substrate, coating or mixed into the granules of composite roofing to protect people, objects and structures from lightning by developing a negatively charged cloaking shield to prevent the attraction of negatively charged lightning from striking. The composition infused or applied on a subject continuously emits negative ions sufficiently producing a protective electromagnetic cloaking shield restricting the wicking action of positive ions up from ground surface and thereby restricting the formation of positive streamers that reach upwards towards the stepped leaders of lightning.

METHOD OF PREPARING GYPSUM WALLBOARD FROM HIGH SALT GYPSUM, AND RELATED PRODUCT
Disclosed are a composite gypsum board and a method of preparing composite gypsum board. The board contains set gypsum layers sandwiched between two cover sheets. The set gypsum layers are formed from at least stucco and water. The set gypsum layers include a board core and one or more skim coat layers. The set gypsum core makes up a substantial thickness (e.g., at least about 90%, at least about 92%, at least about 95%, or at least about 97%) of the total thickness of all the gypsum layers. A first skim coat layer is included on one side of the core, facing a first (face) cover sheet. A second skim coat layer is included on the other side of the core, facing a second (back) cover sheet. At least the second skim layer is formed from a slurry that contains starch. The stucco material generally includes a high salt impurity content, for example, when the stucco is calcined from certain sources of low-quality synthetic gypsum. For example, in some embodiments, the salts are chloride salts, e.g., sodium chloride (NaCl), potassium chloride (KCl), magnesium chloride (MgCl.sub.2), and/or calcium chloride (CaCl.sub.2).
MATERIALS WITH HIERARCHICAL NANOCHEMICAL BONDING, MANUFACTURING METHODS AND APPLICATIONS OF SAME
A method of manufacturing a composition with hierarchical nanochemical bonding includes making a powder of one or more oxygen containing materials; mixing the powder either with a water solution of organic and/or inorganic acid to form an acidic slurry, or with water to form a hydrated basic slurry; and curing the slurry to form a solid. The powder comprises nanoscale particles, or microscale particles, or a mixture of nanoscale particles and microscale particles.
Cementitious adhesive composition
A cementitious adhesive composition, in particular a tile adhesive, especially for use in automatic tiling systems, includes 10-70 wt.-% of a hydraulic binder, in particular cement, 20-90 wt.-% of aggregates, in particular sand and/or calcium carbonate, and 0.01-5 wt.-% cellulose ether.
Device comprising a cable or cable accessory containing a fire-resistant composite layer
The present invention relates to a device comprising a cable and/or a cable accessory, said cable and/or said cable accessory comprising at least one composite layer obtained from a composite composition based on at least one aluminosilicate geopolymer composition and on at least one low-viscosity organic polymer or oligomer, and also to the process for preparing same.
