Method for preparing porous titania thin film by using cellulose nanocrystal
The present invention relates to a composite material including a porous titania thin film and a preparation method therefor. A composite material according to the present invention allows for a simple thin film formation process because of the use of cellulose crystals, makes it easy to control the structure of the titanium dioxide thin film provided therefor, has a large specific area, and is superior in terms of scratch resistance and photoactivity, thus finding useful applications in the various fields utilizing titanium dioxide as a photocatalyst.
Geopolymeric foam comprising triple-layered structure for protecting a substrate
A structure for protecting a substrate. The structure comprises an inner tie coat layer which can bond to the substrate, a geopolymer foam layer, and an outer protective layer. The geopolymer foam layer is the reaction product of a mixture comprising an aluminosilicate source, an alkali activator, reinforcing fibres, and a plurality of microparticles.
Polymer-modified cementitious composition
A polymer-modified cementitious composition comprising a specific aqueous polymer dispersion and a cementitious material, and such polymer-modified cementitious composition having low ammonia release and providing coating membranes made therefrom with balanced tensile strength and elongation at break.
COMPOSITION FOR MANUFACTURING METHYLENE MALONATE CEMENTITIOUS HYBRID SYSTEMS, THE PREPARATION THEREOF AND USE OF THE SAME IN CONSTRUCTION
The present invention relates to a composition for manufacturing methylene malonate cementitious hybrid systems. Particularly, the invention relates to a composition comprising at least one methylene malonate monomer (A), at least one methylene malonate polymer (B), at least one acidic stabilizer (C), and cement (D), to the preparation thereof, and to the use of the composition in construction, particularly as a surface protection material, a structural consolidation material or as a material used in underground constructions.
Method and composition for lightning protection
A particulate composition suitable for protection against lightning is disclosed. The particulate composition comprises of a particulate matter comprising a mineral compound, preferably black tourmaline, capable of emitting negatively charged ions continuously, a grinding auxiliary agent, and a liquid medium. The particulate composition is embedded in a substrate, coating or mixed into the granules of composite roofing to protect people, objects and structures from lightning by developing a negatively charged cloaking shield to prevent the attraction of negatively charged lightning from striking. The composition infused or applied on a subject continuously emits negative ions sufficiently producing a protective electromagnetic cloaking shield restricting the wicking action of positive ions up from ground surface and thereby restricting the formation of positive streamers that reach upwards towards the stepped leaders of lightning.
Asphalt cement concrete interlayer system for reflective crack relief
An asphalt-cement concrete (“ACC”) interlayer formed of a plant-mix material reinforced with aramid fibers, deposited at a thickness of at least one inch (1″) over a Portland-cement concrete (“PCC”) or ACC base, can extend the service life of a hot-mix asphalt (“HMA”) surface layer installed over the interlayer by retarding or preventing “reflected” cracks—cracks in the surface layer that correspond to cracks, damage and irregularities in the PCC or ACC base. When the surface layer's useable life has expired, it can be removed and replaced, and the interlayer can continue to protect the new surface layer.
FREEZE PROTECTED WATER-BASED DISPERSION ADHESIVE AND USE THEREOF
A two-component composition including a first component A including an aqueous dispersion of at least one polymer P, at least one metal salt M, and at least one liquid organic freeze point depressant D, and a second component B having a mineral binder composition C having at least one hydraulic binder H. The two-component composition is used as an adhesive, sealant or coating and to a method for bonding a first substrate to a second substrate.
CERAMIC COATING WITH AMBIENT TEMPERATURE CURE
A ceramic or composite coating is prepared from a mixture of a fire-resistant binder and an inorganic filler such that the mixture is suitable to be applied as a coating to a substrate, can be cured in situ, and protects the underlying substrate to which it is applied. In one example, the inorganic filler includes fly ash, where a mix ratio of the inorganic filler to the fire-resistant binder is from 1:1 to 9:1 by weight. The mixture can be cured in air at room temperature to form a composite coating on wood, metal, composites, and other substrates. High temperature processing can convert the composite to a ceramic.
FREEZE-THAW STABLE QUICK-SET ADDITIVE
The present invention provides substantially water free aluminate cement paste compositions that exhibit improved freeze thaw resistance and are storage stable upon being activated on admixture with water or an aqueous liquid. The compositions comprise a deep eutectic solvent mixture of a polar organic carrier component, preferably, glycerol or another hydrogen donor, and an anhydrous cation containing component, such as a metal salt or an onium compound in a paste with an aluminate cement. The compositions can be kept for as long as 30 days or more at room temperature without stabilization and then used to make cementitious coating layers or waterproofing membranes.
