Light weight gypsum fiber panel suitable for use as roof cover board
A roof cover board made from a mixture of 30-60% stucco; 20-50% perlite; 10-30% cellulose fiber; 3-20% starch; and siloxane. Also disclosed is a stucco-free roof cover board made from a mixture of 30-60% perlite, 30-60% cellulose fiber, 5-25% starch; and siloxane. Also disclosed are methods for making same.
Asphalt including modified toner based additive
An asphalt and asphalt concrete incorporating a modified toner based additive are provided.
Dimensionally stable geopolymer composition and method
A method for making geopolymer cementitious binder compositions for cementitious products such as concrete, precast construction elements and panels, mortar, patching materials for road repairs and other repair materials, and the like is disclosed. The geopolymer cementitious compositions of some embodiments are made by mixing a synergistic mixture of thermally activated aluminosilicate mineral, calcium sulfoaluminate cement, a calcium sulfate and a chemical activator with water.
Extruded gypsum-based materials
An extrudable gypsum-based material is formed from a mixture that includes gypsum in the range of about 40 to 90% by dry weight percent, a secondary material in the range of about 0.1 to 50% by dry weight percent, a reinforcement fiber in the range of about 1 to 20% by dry weight percent, a rheology modifying agent in the range of about 0.5 to 10% by dry weight percent, a retarder in the range of about 0.1 to 8% by dry weight percent, a water in the range of 10 to 50% of a total wet material weight.
HOMOGENEOUS WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE COMPOSITION
A homogeneous waterproofing membrane composition containing active membrane compounds comprising plasticized polyvinyl butyral (PVB), polymer modified bitumen, where the polymer forms a polymeric matrix, wherein bitumen and plasticized PVB are retained.
Coated roofing materials
A roofing membrane is provided that includes at least one substrate at least partially impregnated with a first asphalt coating composition and a liquid parting agent emulsion applied to the upper surface of the asphalt-coated substrate. The liquid parting agent emulsion comprises one or more thermoplastic polymers and about 15 wt. % to about 40 wt. % of at least one mineral filler, based on the weight of the total solids in the emulsion. The first asphalt coating composition is free of oxidized asphalt.
PLASTOMER-MODIFIED ASPHALT BINDERS MEETING MSCR SPECIFICATIONS, ASPHALT PAVING MATERIALS WITH SUCH ASPHALT BINDERS, AND METHODS FOR FABRICATING SUCH ASPHALT BINDERS
Plastomer-modified asphalt binders meeting MSCR specifications, asphalt paving materials with such asphalt binders, and methods for fabricating such asphalt binders are provided. The asphalt binder contains a base asphalt and a plastomer. If the plastomer has a drop point no greater than about 139 C., the asphalt binder further contains sulfur; sulfur-containing compounds, such as hydrocarbyl polysulfides and thiuram disulfides; phenolic resins; metal oxides; or a combination thereof. The asphalt binder is substantially free of elastomer.
ROOF COATING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a roof coating comprising a bitumen layer with embedded particles.
GLASS MAT FOR ROOFING PRODUCTS
A glass mat includes an assembly of glass fibers, a binder composition and an asphaltic coating. The binder composition includes an organic resin and an adhesion promoter. The glass mat has an at least 2% increase in tear strength as measured using the methods specified in ASTM D3462, compared to an asphaltic coated glass mat having a binder composition without the adhesion promoter. Further provided is an asphalt roofing product including the glass mat and a method of increasing tear strength in an asphalt roofing product.
DIMENSIONALLY STABLE GEOPOLYMER COMPOSITION AND METHOD
A method for making geopolymer cementitious binder compositions for cementitious products such as concrete, precast construction elements and panels, mortar and repair materials, and the like is disclosed. The geopolymer cementitious compositions of some embodiments are made by mixing a synergistic mixture of thermally activated aluminosilicate mineral, calcium aluminate cement, a calcium sulfate and a chemical activator with water
