The disclosure provides for a method for preparing a vacuum insulated panel. The method comprises forming an internal cavity between a liner and a wrapper and preparing filler material to be disposed in the internal cavity. The filler material comprises a first part and a second part. Preparing the filler material comprises treating a surface of the first part, wherein the treating prepares the surface to receive a coating comprising a first charge. The preparing further comprises coating the surface of the first part with a chemical comprising a first charge. The coating forms a first surface charge on the surface of the first part. The method further comprises mixing the first part with the second part forming the filler material. The second part comprises a material having a second surface charge opposite the first surface charge.

Bionic Laminated Thermal Insulation Material

The invention discloses a bionic laminated thermal insulation material, which imitates a multi-thin laminated and thin-layer micro-pore structure of Sequoia sempervirens bark with fire resistance, corrosion resistance and excellent thermal insulation performance. A low thermal conductivity microporous powder is used as main raw material, while reinforcing agent, plasticizer and porosity agent are added to form microporous thin-layer units, and each thin-layer unit is bonded and laminated to make a laminated thermal insulation material. The thermal conductivity of the finished products is as low as 0.02˜0.05 W/m.Math.k, with good thermal insulation and mechanical properties, which can be used in a temperature range below 1000° C., with better thermal insulation and energy-saving effect and toughness than ordinary thermal insulation materials, significantly reducing the thickness of the insulation layer, and can be widely used in industrial furnaces, thermal engineering devices, insulation pipes and other fields.

FLUID STORAGE MEDIA AND METHOD OF DELIVERING A FLUID
20220097016 · 2022-03-31 ·

A fluid storage media includes a plurality of microspheres. Each microsphere includes a porous core with a porous core material and having an exterior surface. A stored fluid is within the porous core. A coating layer covers all of the exterior surface of the porous core. The coating layer includes a coating material which transitions from a first state to a second state, wherein in the first state the coating material is permeable to the stored fluid, and in the second state the material is impermeable to the stored fluid. The coating material in the second state is configured to encapsulate and maintain the stored fluid inside the porous core. A method of making a fluid storage media, a method of delivering a fluid and a method of delivering a biologically active fluid medication to a patient are also disclosed.

DRY POLYMER MODIFIED CEMENT SURFACE COATING FOR ROOFING MATERIALS
20220098105 · 2022-03-31 ·

Roofing substrates, including shingles, provide for protection of the structure it is covering as well as aesthetics. Shingles come in various types including asphalt, clay, and metal. The shingles may have a dry polymer modified cement mixture applied on top of current shingles or may be used to replace certain layers of, for example, asphalt shingles. The dry polymer modified cement may be applied before or after installation. The dry polymer modified cement may be colored to provide desired aesthetics and lower absorption of the sun's radiation (e.g., visible spectrum, infrared spectrum). The dry polymer modified cement may add minimum weight to the shingles while providing protection to the underlying substrate from environmental deterioration and weathering, thus increasing life of the shingle. The dry polymer modified cement mixture is prepared by mixing a dry polymer modified cement blend (ordinary Portland cement, aggregate and polymer powders) with water.

Method for producing fireproof materials based on sodium silicate
