This granular material is a granular material for use in three-dimensional laminated mold shaping, and obtained by adding a material that causes a hydration reaction having a moisture absorbing function and generates a catalytic effect to a coating material mixed with or coated with an acid as a catalyst which activates and hardens an organic binder for binding the granular material.
Foamed glass composite material and a method for using the same
A method of slowing an aircraft overrunning a runway, including paving an area immediately beyond the end of a runway with foamed glass bodies to define a bed, covering the bed with a layer of cementitious material to define a composite bed, and crushing at least a portion of the composite bed with an oncoming aircraft, wherein crushing the at least a portion of the composite bed removes kinetic energy from the oncoming aircraft to slow the oncoming aircraft. The composite bed is generally resistant to fire.

A composition for use in making a structural assembly board, a structural assembly made from the composition, and a method of making the structural assembly board is provided. The composition includes magnesium oxide having purity of 94-98 wt %; magnesium chloride; and water. The magnesium oxide has at least two different particles sizes. The composition and method of making the structural assembly board promote formation of 5MgO.MgCl.sub.2.8H.sub.2O to improve structural qualities of the structural assembly board.

A composition for use in making a structural assembly board, a structural assembly made from the composition, and a method of making the structural assembly board is provided. The composition includes magnesium oxide; magnesium sulfate; and water. The composition includes reinforcing fibers. The composition and method of making the structural assembly board promote formation of 5MgO.MgSO.sub.4.2H.sub.2O to improve structural qualities of the structural assembly board.
Hybrid polymer coating for petrous or ceramic substrates, petrous or ceramic substrate, and obtaining method
A coating having a thickness between 0.1 and 2 mm is obtained from a mixture with the following composition: 10-25% by weight of micronized powder; 40-60% by weight of inorganic gravels of petrographic origin of sizes comprised between 0.063-2 mm; 10-40% by weight of a polymerisable base resin selected from polyurethane, polyester, epoxy or acrylic, with additives, and optionally pigments. The proportion of the mentioned gravel and micronized powder of the coating being up to 90% in an inner most area of interphase between coating and surface of the petrous substrate, covering one third of the thickness of the coating. The method comprises depositing the mentioned mixture on the substrate and vibrating the assembly, and subsequently proceeding to a step of curing and subsequent mechanical finishing of the surface.

The invention relates to an insulation product formed from at least two insulating layers containing aerogels, each of said layers comprising from 25 to 95 wt % of aerogel(s) and from 5 to 75 wt % of fibers, said insulating layers being joined together by means of an organic adhesive, advantageously aqueous, based on vinyl polymer(s). The invention also relates to a method for obtaining said product.
Gypsum panels, systems, and methods
Gypsum panels, sheathing systems, and methods of making and using the same are provided. A gypsum panel includes a gypsum core associated with a first fiberglass mat having a continuous barrier coating, the coating penetrating a portion of the first fiberglass mat opposite the gypsum core, wherein gypsum penetrates a remaining fibrous portion of the first fiberglass mat such that voids in the first fiberglass mat are substantially eliminated. A building sheathing system includes at least two gypsum panels and a seaming component to provide a seam at an interface between the gypsum panels.

The invention relates to a dark, flat element, preferably a plastic, lacquer coating or fiber material, having reduced density, low heat conductivity and low solar absorption. The flat element has a relatively high reflection infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum reduce heating by sunlight in the near infrared dark tinting in the visible range. Low density conductivity are obtained inter alia by inserting in the near in order to area despite and low heat light filling materials into the flat element. Said flat element can be used in places where surfaces are dark tinted for aesthetic or technical reasons but should not heat up in sunlight and should give off little heat when touched by hand or by other parts of the body. Other areas of application include surfaces which should have a heat insulating effect in addition to the above-mentioned characteristics.
