Hydration control mixture for mortar and cement compositions
The present invention relates to a mixture comprising at least one compound comprising an -hydroxy-carboxylic unit, -hydroxy-sulfonic acid unit or -carbonyl-carboxylic unit and at least one water-soluble organic carbonate. The mixture is useful as a hydration control agent in construction chemical compositions comprising an inorganic binder.
USE OF MINERAL FINES TO REDUCE CLINKER CONTENT OF CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITIONS
Mineral fines are used to reduce clinker content in concrete, mortar and other cementitious compositions, typically in combination with one or more pozzolanically active SCMs. Mineral fines can replace and/or augment a portion of hydraulic cement binder and/or fine aggregate. Mineral fines can advantageously replace a portion of cement binder and fine aggregate, acting as an intermediate that fills a particle size void between the largest cement particles and smallest fine aggregate particles. Supplemental lime can advantageously maintain or enhance balance of calcium ions in the mix water and/or pore solution. Supplemental sulfate can advantageously address sulfate deficiencies caused by high clinker reduction, use of water reducers and/or superplasticizers, and SCMs containing aluminates. Such systematic approach to beneficially using mineral fines, SCMs, lime, and sulfate addresses many issues and permits high clinker reduction with similar or increased strength.
Composition for use in building construction
The invention relates to a composition for building construction comprising a paper sludge deriving from de-inked paper recycling processes, the sludge having a grain size distribution D90 in the range of 30 to 1000 m and an ingredient selected from the group consisting of modified cellulose, cement, furnace slag and mixtures thereof.
WALL COMPOUNDS AND METHODS OF USE
A wall compound for use in all applications and particularly well-suited for joining adjacent wallboards. The compound includes a latex resin, a thickener, fibers, and a filler material. In some embodiments, the repair compound is configured to exhibit at least one of yield stress and pseudoplastic-type behavior. In some embodiments, the compound includes hydrophobic and hydrophilic fibers of different morphologies. In some embodiments, the wall compound includes one or more associative thickeners.
METHYL-ETHYL-HYDROXYALKYL-CELLULOSE AND ITS USE IN BUILDING COMPOSITIO
A methyl ethyl hydroxyalkyl cellulose (MEHEC), process for making the MEHEC, and a powder containing the MEHEC are disclosed. The MEHEC is provided with a DSmethyl from 1.5 to 2.5, a DSethyl from 0.005 to 0.15, and a MSalkylene-oxide from 0.005 to 0.2. The methyl ethyl hydroxyalkyl cellulose optionally includes an anti-oxidant. The MEHEC optionally does not have a combination of a DSmethyl of 2.2 or 1.8, a DSethyl of 0.05 or 0.1, and a MSalkylene-oxide of 0.1 and does not have a combination of a DSmethyl of 2.5 or 2.0, a DSethyl of 0.1, and a MSalkylene-oxide of 0.05. The MEHEC has very good biostability and is suitable for use in the building industry.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURE FOR APPLYING TILES TO A SURFACE, AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A composite structure for use in tiling surfaces is disclosed. The composite structure can include a fiber matrix impregnated with a water-activated setting material. The composite structure can be wet and then compressed between a tile and an application surface. The composite structure can cure to provide a support surface for the tile.
Construction chemical compositions comprising a bisulfite adduct of glyoxylic acid
The present invention relates to construction chemical compositions comprising a bisulfite adduct of glyoxylic acid or a salt or mixed salt thereof and an inorganic binder. The composition is useful as a hydration control agent of the inorganic binder.
POLYDICARBOXYLIC ACID BASED DISPERSANT
A copolymer, in particular a dispersant for hydraulically setting binder compositions, including a specific dicarboxylic acid based subunit and a specific polyalkylene glycol based subunit wherein the molar ratio of the dicarboxylic acid based subunit to the polyalkylene glycol based subunit is from 1.5-4.
HYBRID FOAM
The present invention relates to a hybrid foam, to a process for producing a hybrid foam and a hybrid foam obtainable by this process and to the use of the hybrid foam for adhesive bonding, filling and/or insulating.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AN AQUEOUS DISPERSION AND REDISPERSIBLE DISPERSION POWDER PRODUCED THEREFROM
The present invention relates to a process for producing a redispersible dispersion powder, to the redispersible dispersion powder obtainable by this process, to an aqueous dispersion obtainable by step (1) of this process, and to a building material composition comprising the redispersible dispersion powder and/or the aqueous dispersion, to the use of the redispersible dispersion powder in a building material composition and to the use of the aqueous dispersion for production of a redispersible dispersion powder.
