A method of preparation of a reinforced carbonated construction element, includes a) preparing a composition containing a cement, metal reinforcing elements, water and hydrophobic additives; then b) a carbonation of the composition in presence of CO.sub.2 gas having a CO.sub.2 content higher than 500 ppm, wherein the composition includes more than 0.05% in weight, compared to the total weight of the cement, of hydrophobic additive.

The present invention relates to an anticorrosive composition and the use of such a composition for imparting anticorrosive properties to a material, and a material comprising such a composition.
