COATING ANTIMICROBIC FILM COMPOSITIONS

The invention relates to an aqueous composition useful for producing antimicrobic polymer films, comprising at least an anionic silver complex, one or more cationic organic components with microbicidal activity, a solvent and a polymeric component. Said antimicrobic films can be obtained by depositing the aqueous composition of the invention on the surface to be treated, possibly followed by a thermosetting or photocuring treatment. The antimicrobic polymer films can be produced on surfaces of containers made of plastic, glass, ceramic or metallic material, thereby ensuring a barrier effect which protects the treated surface from invasions of external microbial agents borne by the air or hands of workers who use such containers.

Composition of Bacillus firmus CNCM I-1582 spore and a fungicide

Compositions are provided that improve overall plant vigor and yield by combining agriculturally effective amounts of at least one environmentally friendly biological control agent and at least one insect control agent and or fungicide. A composition of the present invention is particularly effective in the presence of plant parasitic nematode and fungal species. Along with a benefit of reducing insect pressure, the inventive composition enhances the root system of a plant and improves the establishment of the biological control agent within the rhizosphere, thereby enhancing the effectiveness thereof. Use of a composition of the present invention leads to an overall reduction in crop losses caused by either plant parasitic nematodes or fungi and this reduction is much greater than would have bean expected from application of either component alone. Methods for utilizing compositions of the present invention are also provided. Further the compositions according to this invention display synergistic insecticidal, nematicidal, acaricidal or fungicidal activity.

Composition comprising a biological control agent and a fungicide selected from inhibitors of the mitosis and cell division or compounds having a multi-site action

The present invention relates to a composition comprising of least one biological control agent. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of this composition as well as a method for reducing overall damage of plants and plant parts.

Compositions for inhibition of insect sensing

In one aspect, the invention relates to chemical modulators of insect olfactory receptors. In particular, compounds and compositions are provided that can inhibit sensory (e.g., host targeting) functions in airborne insects such as mosquitos. Method of employing such agents, and articles incorporating the same, are also provided. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.
