LIGHTWEIGHT ASSEMBLABLE APPLIANCE WITH PLIANT EXOSKELETAL SUPPORT RESPECTIVE KIT-OF-PARTS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF BIOGAS AND LIQUID FERTILIZER
An assemblable appliance and method of recycling organic waste into biogas and liquid fertilizer, implementing essentially anaerobic digestion processes, is described. The assemblable appliance includes: a pliant structured exoskeletal envelope, pliable collapsible anaerobic digester and gas tank. A compact kit-of-parts for assembling the aforementioned appliance and respective method using the aforementioned appliance for recycling organic waste into biogas and liquid fertilizer are described.
COMPOSTING BIN FOR FACILITATING BREAKDOWN OF ORGANIC MATERIAL
A composting bin for breaking down organic material includes a container having an interior and an opening. The interior includes a plurality of regions, including a first region and a second region. The first region and the second region are configured to support decomposable organic material. In operation, a user positions decomposable organic material in, for example, the first region. The user then provides a composting animal in the first region. The user covers the composting bin to inhibit light from entering the composting bin. Upon completion of the composting process, the user causes the composting animal to move from the first region to the second region. The user causes the composting animal to move from the first region to the second region by allowing light to enter the first region, and/or providing food in the second region while denying food in the first region.
Passive digestion
This invention is a method for the processing of organic materials or organic wastes in a cost-effective and environmentally sound manner. The invention works both in the anaerobic or aerobic state. Processing organic material is accomplished by forcing the flow of gas through a pile of material, containing some organic matter, with liquids and gravity. The movement of gas and liquids through the pile results in very large increases in microorganism populations, accelerated evolution of the microorganisms, and corresponding increases in the processing provided organic materials.

COMPOST LEACHATE DISTRIBUTION DEVICES
A compost leachate distribution device includes a composting chamber for receiving material to be composted and a leachate collection chamber for collecting, via a leachate fluid path, leachate generated during composting in the composting chamber. The device has a leachate mixing arrangement a first inlet for receiving a flow of water, a mixing chamber to which the first inlet leads for mixing water with leachate to form a water/leachate mix and an outlet leading from the mixing chamber to the exterior for exit of the water/leachate mix, wherein the leachate mixing arrangement has dosing means for controlling a rate of flow of leachate from the leachate collection chamber into the mixing chamber.
Modular Composting Garden Container, System, and Method of Use
Provided is an expandable, modular tower planter having an internal vertical composting capability, and a method of assembling and using the same. Provided in various example embodiments is a modular composting garden container system comprising a base and a plurality of stackable rings forming a tower upon the base, including an optional base ring specially sized, shaped, and positioned to connect the tower to the base. A plurality of perforated, stackable tube sections are provided that are removably assembled into a compost tube assembly of selectable height and mounted within the interior of the tower and above the base. A plurality of holding struts are sized, shaped, and positioned to removably connect the compost tube assembly with the tower and to securely locate the compost tube assembly relative to the tower. Means are provided for recovering nutrient-rich drainage and selective recovery of compost material for reintroduction into the system.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING A COMPOSTER DEVICE
A method and apparatus for operating a composter device includes a compost container, a condensate reservoir, a first fluid pathway fluidly coupling the composting chamber and the condensate reservoir, and a fan moving air from the composting chamber to the condensate reservoir along the first fluid pathway to define a first airflow.
COMPOSTING DEVICE SLIDING LID WITH A SEAL ASSEMBLY
The disclosure relates to a composting device including a housing defining an interior with an access opening providing access to the interior, a composter bin located within the interior and in communication with the access opening, and a cover slidably mounted to the housing and slidable along a sliding path between opened and closed conditions to selectively open and close the access opening. An angled seal assembly is provided on the cover and housing. Both a sealing surface and a seal are angled relative to a sliding path such that the space between the seal and the sealing surface decreases as the cover is slid from the opened to the closed condition.
