Worm culture systems
Devices and methods are disclosed for the containment and culture of worms, and the preparation of composts, vermicomposts, and castings from organic and inorganic wastes.
Portable renewable energy microgeneration system
A portable renewable energy microgeneration system is disclosed. The system comprises one or more holding tanks that are configured to perform anaerobic digestion on waste in a multi-phase process using bacteria and a controller configured to automatically control the multi-phase process and to re-use the bacteria. The controller re-uses the bacteria by removing at least a portion of the liquid from the waste after anaerobic digestion is performed on the waste and using the at least a portion of the liquid to wet other waste and repeat the multi-phase process.
SALT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR PORTABLE RENEWABLE ENERGY MICROGENERATION SYSTEM
A renewable energy microgeneration apparatus is disclosed that includes a mixing tank that mixes waste with a liquid, a buffer tank that receives and pre-warms the mixed waste, a pasteurization tank that pasteurizes on the pre-warmed mixed waste, a digestion tank that performs anaerobic digestion on the pasteurized waste, a de-watering device that separates liquid digestate and removes salt from the liquid, sensors that measure salinity and biogas quality, and a controller. The controller causes the transfer of digestate from the digestion tank to the pasteurization tank to the dewatering device, causes the de-watering device to separate the liquid and remove the salt from the liquid, monitors the salinity of the liquid and the quality of biogas using the sensors, and causes the mixing of the liquid with the waste and adjusts the feed rate of the waste to reduce the salinity of the waste and increase methane production.
CONTAINER-BASED COMPOSTING
Composting systems and methods are disclosed. A composting kit can be removably installed in roll-off waste containers and/or open-topped shipping containers without modifying the container. The composting kit can include a perforated aeration conduit, a flow regulator positioned along the perforated aeration conduit, and a delivery conduit fluidically coupled to the perforated aeration conduit at a releasable joint comprising a clearance fit. Additionally, the composting kit can include a blower configured to be fluidically coupled to the delivery conduit. The composting kit can be assembled into a working configuration in which the perforated aeration conduit is positioned within the container and the delivery conduit is fluidically coupled to the blower and to the perforated aeration conduit. The components of the composting kit can be removed from the container before the compost is unloaded from the container.
SYSTEM FOR ENHANCING PLANT GROWTH
A mobile system for growing microorganisms and circulating nutrients for administering to plants. The system has minimal interior obstructions that can be easily removed for effective cleaning. The system comprises a mobile structure; a vessel supported by the structure for receiving water and nutrients; a pump supported by the structure; a generator supported by the structure for powering the pump; a vessel outlet from a bottom portion of the vessel to the pump; a first discharge line from the pump extending from the pump into the bottom portion of the vessel, wherein the contents of the vessel can be circulated by the pump from the vessel outlet back into the vessel through the first discharge line; a second discharge line from the pump for discharging contents of the vessel; and an aerator for injecting air into the first discharge line for aerating the contents of the vessel.
APPARATUS FOR ORGANIC WASTE TREATMENT
The present invention relates to an organic waste treatment apparatus consisting of a garbage receiving unit, a probing door, a garbage compactor unit, a crushing unit fixed to the upper part of the structure frame, a mixing unit positioned underneath the crushing unit, a motor that drives all movements of the apparatus using belt drive and gear drive, and a control panel controlling the functions of this device.
COMPOSTER
A composter having a holding portion for holding material to be composted, a tank portion for collecting leachate formed during composting and a tap for allowing flow of collected leachate out of the tank portion. The composter may include a paddle for tamping down material added to the composter, wherein the composter has a paddle storage location for the paddle and paddle securing means for holding the paddle in the storage location. The tap may be an extendible tap moveable between a retracted position and an extended position.
Modular Composting Garden Container, System, and Method of Use
Provided is an expandable, modular tower planter having an internal vertical composting capability, and a method of assembling and using the same. Provided in various example embodiments is a modular composting garden container system comprising a base and a plurality of stackable rings forming a tower upon the base, including an optional base ring specially sized, shaped, and positioned to connect the tower to the base. A plurality of perforated, stackable tube sections are provided that are removably assembled into a compost tube assembly of selectable height and mounted within the interior of the tower and above the base. A plurality of holding struts are sized, shaped, and positioned to removably connect the compost tube assembly with the tower and to securely locate the compost tube assembly relative to the tower. Means are provided for recovering nutrient-rich drainage and selective recovery of compost material for reintroduction into the system.
IMPROVED VERMICOMPOSTING TOILET FACILITY
The invention relates to a toilet installation comprising equipment (4) presenting a gravity discharge opening (5) for liquid effluent and solid waste, and a reception system (30) for receiving liquid effluent and solid waste dropping from the gravity discharge opening (5). The installation further comprises a transport device (35) for transporting the composting medium in the form of a continuous bed of material of determined thickness and for a duration suitable for obtaining the composted medium, the transport device (35) comprising at least one support surface (36) for supporting the bed, which surface is placed under the top portion of the reception system and extends to a discharge edge (37) for discharging the composted medium dropping off said support surface.
