A brush for cleaning the interior of a bottle or container is provided. The brush includes at least one cleaning element installed on the distal end of a shaft. The proximal end of the shaft is shaped to be gripped by a hand of a user. The distal end of the shaft includes at least one notch formed therein, where the notch has a proximal side wall, a distal side wall oppositely disposed from the proximal side wall, and a middle section disposed between the proximal side wall and the distal side wall. Each cleaning element is installed in a corresponding notch.

A toothbrush apparatus includes a handle with a longitudinal axis and a toothbrush head constructed and arranged to hold multiple bristles. The bristles are formed in a non-circular configuration. The non-circular configuration is on a distal end, or a portion including the distal end, or the entire bristle. A mascara brush comprising a core made of at least two wire sections twisted with one another along a wire-core longitudinal axis and a set of bristles made of bristles formed from plastic filaments, each of said bristles being held in a clamped manner between the two wire sections and being formed on the free ends thereof with or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip, wherein the bristles, at least partially, are formed from internally hollow filaments, a solution is provided with which the mass delivery in relation to the known applicators is improved. Same is achieved in that, in particular at least, the bristles formed on the inside in a hollow manner on the radially outward free ends have an oblique cut in the form of a simple wedge and comprise a wedge-shaped bristle tip comprising at least one cut surface forming a wedge.

A spiral bristle (201) includes: a first component (231), a second component (233), and a third component (235), with each of the second and third components (233, 235) wrapping around the first component (231) in a helical and spaced-apart manner, the second and third components (233, 235) isolated from one another by the first component (231). An oral care implement includes the spiral bristle.

A bristle for an oral care implement and an oral care implement including a plurality of such bristles. The bristle may include a body extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end, the body having tapered portion having a transverse cross-sectional profile with a perimeter defined by a first linear section and a second linear section that intersect to form a first apex, a third linear section and a fourth linear section that intersect to form a second apex, a first curved section extending between the first and third linear sections, and a second curved section extending between the second and fourth linear sections. The body may also include a cylindrical body portion such that the tapered portion extends from a top end of the cylindrical body portion. The bristle includes various edges and rounded contours for enhanced cleaning.

Disclosed is a new fiber which has a triangular cross section, and which may be used as a substitute for animal hair with comparable pickup and other properties. The disclosure also relates to methods for providing same.

A method of producing a brush as well as a brush (1), in particular a toothbrush, which has at least one bristle bundle (3) which includes at least one bristle filament having a curved and/or kinked profile.

A head for an oral care implement comprises at least one tooth cleaning element of a first type and at least one tooth cleaning element of a second type. The at least one tooth cleaning element of the first type has a length extension along a longitudinal axis being about 1 mm to about 2 mm longer than the length extension of the at least one tooth cleaning element of the second type along its longitudinal axis. The at least one tooth cleaning element of the first type is a tuft of a first type comprising a plurality of filaments. Each filament has a longitudinal axis and a substantially cross-shaped cross-sectional area extending in a plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The cross-shaped cross-sectional area has four projections and four channels, the projections and channels being arranged in an alternating manner. The at least one tuft of the first type has a packing factor within a range from about 40% to about 55%, preferably from about 45% to about 50%.

A backcombing brush for backcombing hair includes an array of bristles 4. Each bristle extends from a base to a free end and two lengths of bristle are provided. Shorter bristles 4a and the bottom of longer bristles 4b carry out backcombing, whilst the longer bristles smooth hair, or untangle knots/tangles in the hair to reduce the level of backcombing. The long bristles have a relatively wide first portion 5, towards the base of the bristle, and a relatively narrow second portion 6, towards the free end of the bristle. The bristles are arranged such that bristles in one row neither extend between adjacent bristles in an adjacent row nor partially occlude the space between bristles in an adjacent row.
