FILAMENT HAVING UNIQUE TIP AND SURFACE CHARACTERISTICS
An oral-care implement including a filament comprising an external material and at least a first internal material. The filament includes an elongated flexible body having a length, a longitudinal axis, and a longitudinal outer surface comprising the external material, the elongated body terminating with a tip having a tip surface comprising the external material, wherein the tip surface has therein a plurality of craters distributed throughout the tip surface in a predetermined pattern, each of the craters having a surface edge of a predetermined size and a predetermined shape, walls extending longitudinally from the surface edge and comprising the external material, and a bottom comprising the at least first internal material and situated at a depth from the surface edge, the surface edge being formed by the walls and the tip surface.
Filament having unique tip and surface characteristics
A filament for use in a brush implement comprises an external material and at least a first internal material.
Heated Hair Brush Apparatus
A heated hair brush apparatus. A base plate is disposed at a head portion of a housing and has an upper face and a lower face. A plurality of heating elements each extends from the upper face of the base plate to a terminal end. A heat source is disposed in the compartment for transmitting heat through the heating elements. The heating elements and the base plate define a plurality of bores. A plurality of spacers of a material that has a lower thermal conductivity than the heating elements are each received by one of the bores of the base plate. Each of the spacers taper inwardly along at least a portion of the spacer toward the distal end for wedging the spacer in the bore of the heating element to inhibit movement of the spacer relative to the heating element.
COSMETIC APPLICATOR HAVING FIBRES
An applicator for applying a cosmetic product, having a stem, and an applicator member carried by the stem, having a plurality of fibres, each having a hollow cylindrical body, and at least one longitudinal rib attached to the body by its base, each fibre being without axial symmetry in cross section and being inscribed in a circle (C) of diameter D.sub.2, such that the ratio D.sub.2/D.sub.1 is less than or equal to 1.75, D.sub.1 being the greatest outside transverse dimension of the body.
WIRE-CORE APPLICATOR HAVING MULTI-MATERIAL BRISTLES
A mascara brush having a centre made of at least two wire sections twisted together along a longitudinal axis of the wire core, and having a bristle covering made of plastic bristles formed by filaments, each of which bristles is held in a clamping manner between the two wire sections, and which bristles are formed with a wedge-shaped bristle tip or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip on their free ends. At least one portion of the bristles has a bristle coating made of a first softer material, and a bristle core that is joined to the bristle coating and made of a second harder material, and at least these bristles have a transverse cut, in the form of a simple wedge, on one side or on two sides, at least partially on their radially outward free ends, and comprise a wedge-shaped bristle tip having at least one cut surface forming a wedge.
APPLICATOR WITH BRISTLES OF PARTICLE-FILLED PLASTIC
A mascara brush with a core comprising at least two sections of wire twisted together along a wire core longitudinal axis and a set of bristles comprising bristles of plastic formed by filaments, which are respectively clamped between the two sections of wire and are formed at their free ends with a wedge-shaped bristle tip or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip. The mascara brush provides an increased storage capacity for the mascara composition to be applied with improved delivery of stored mascara composition to the lashes. This is achieved by the bristles being formed from a plastic material extruded into a fibre, to which outwardly protruding particles are added and/or which is provided with punctiform depressions (indentations), which roughen the bristle surface, wherein the bristles that have a wedge-shaped bristle tip at their free ends comprise at least one cut surface that forms a wedge and the surface roughness of which lies between 0.2 m and 6.3 m, in particular between 2.9 m and 6.3 m.
Applicator for Cosmetic Product, Method for Obtaining an Applicator, and Associated Applicator Assembly
An applicator (10) for a cosmetic product has a core (12) extending in a main longitudinal extension direction, which is referred to as the main direction (X). The core (12) has two twisted metal strands. The applicator (10) further has a plurality of fibres held on the core (12) by the twisted strands. The twisted strands form non-contiguous turns (14, 14, 15) so as to accommodate the fibres, the number and/or the type of the fibres varying from one turn, which is referred to as the first turn (14, 14), to the other, which is referred to as the second turn (15).
HEATED BRUSH WITH HOLLOW BRISTLES FOR AIR AND LIGHT APPLICATION
A brush for delivering at least one of an application of light and/or heat includes a handle and a head extending therefrom, a light emitting device and/or heating element and a plurality of hollow bristles extending from a surface of the head and receiving at least a portion of light and/or heated air or non-heated air through the bristles.
APPLICATOR FOR COSMETIC PRODUCT, IN PARTICULAR MASCARA, AND ASSOCIATED APPLICATOR ASSEMBLY
An applicator cosmetic product includes a core and a plurality of protuberances. The core extends along a longitudinal extension direction from a first end (e.g., a proximal end) towards a second, opposite free end (e.g., a distal end). The protuberances project from the core towards an opposite free end. The protuberances can be arranged in a plurality of first longitudinal rows regularly distributed around the core, and in a plurality of second longitudinal rows regularly distributed around the core and alternating regularly with the first longitudinal rows. The first longitudinal rows have, along the core, a rectilinear increase in the height of the protuberances from the proximal end towards a distal portion. The second longitudinal rows have, along the core, a rectilinear decrease in the height of the protuberances from the proximal end towards the distal portion.
Handheld hair product dispenser
A dispensing brush and/or comb assembly is made to contain and selectively dispense a fluid. The assembly includes a brush and/or comb having an internal cavity for accepting a fluid, hollow bristles, and a body couplable to the brush and/or comb, having an internal space for receiving a fluid container. The fluid container is removably placed within the internal space of the body and is fluidly connected to the brush and/or comb internal cavity in an installed position, and a cover for retaining the fluid container within the body.
