Cleaning bristle brushes and cleaning systems using same
A brush useful for washing external surfaces, such as of a vehicle. The brush comprises a plurality of bristles connected to a hub. Each bristle has an elongated shaft having a number of cleaning structures extending outwardly from the shaft, providing multiple faces and edges arranged in a circumferential manner around the shaft, and producing multiple washing actions by the bristles as they are moved adjacent the surface. The hub and bristles may be integrally molded in a first condition having a planar form, and then folded relative to the hub to position the bristles extending from the hub in a cleaning direction from the hub. The hubs are secured to mounting structures by reception of the hubs in apertures in the mounting structures. In an embodiment, the mounting surfaces comprise flexible stanchions which are moved relative to an external surface to provide high resolution washing of a vehicle surface.
WIRE-CORE APPLICATOR HAVING MULTI-MATERIAL BRISTLES
A mascara brush having a centre made of at least two wire sections twisted together along a longitudinal axis of the wire core, and having a bristle covering made of plastic bristles formed by filaments, each of which bristles is held in a clamping manner between the two wire sections, and which bristles are formed with a wedge-shaped bristle tip or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip on their free ends. At least one portion of the bristles has a bristle coating made of a first softer material, and a bristle core that is joined to the bristle coating and made of a second harder material, and at least these bristles have a transverse cut, in the form of a simple wedge, on one side or on two sides, at least partially on their radially outward free ends, and comprise a wedge-shaped bristle tip having at least one cut surface forming a wedge.
APPLICATOR WITH BRISTLES OF PARTICLE-FILLED PLASTIC
A mascara brush with a core comprising at least two sections of wire twisted together along a wire core longitudinal axis and a set of bristles comprising bristles of plastic formed by filaments, which are respectively clamped between the two sections of wire and are formed at their free ends with a wedge-shaped bristle tip or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip. The mascara brush provides an increased storage capacity for the mascara composition to be applied with improved delivery of stored mascara composition to the lashes. This is achieved by the bristles being formed from a plastic material extruded into a fibre, to which outwardly protruding particles are added and/or which is provided with punctiform depressions (indentations), which roughen the bristle surface, wherein the bristles that have a wedge-shaped bristle tip at their free ends comprise at least one cut surface that forms a wedge and the surface roughness of which lies between 0.2 m and 6.3 m, in particular between 2.9 m and 6.3 m.
ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT
An oral care implement that includes a handle and a head. The head may include a support structure and a monolithic cleaning unit coupled thereto. The monolithic cleaning unit may include a base portion coupled to the support structure and a plurality of bristles extending therefrom. At least one, or each, of the plurality of bristles may comprise a body having an outer surface and a rib extending from the outer surface. The rib may be longitudinally elongated in some embodiments and it may be helical in other embodiments. Furthermore, there may be more than one rib extending from the outer surface of the body. The monolithic cleaning unit may be formed of an elastomeric material.

BRUSH FOR LICE OR OTHER PARASITIC INSECTS
A lice brush includes a body that supports a plurality of bristles. The body also includes a handle. One or more of the plurality of bristles is configured for use in brushing a user's hair for lice. In particular, one or more of the bristles includes recesses, grooves, indentations, notches, pits or similar inwardly-extending spaces configured to facilitate removal of lice as the bristles pass through the hair. Multiple bristles can be provided in a bristle unit and multiple bristle units can be employed in a bristle assembly of the brush.
BRISTLE ELEMENT FOR BRUSH AND BRUSH ROLL
The invention provides a brush bristle and a brush roll that exhibit a suitable abrasive force and that can reduce or eliminate the abrasion of a mill roll as much as possible. The brush bristle is for use in a brush roll B configured to scour a mill roll for rolling a metal sheet S, and includes one or more monofilaments 2 made of a thermoplastic resin containing abrasive particles. The abrasive particles have a hardness lower than the hardness of the mill roll, and higher than the hardness of the metal sheet S.
Vehicle washing system and method
Washing devices comprise an integrally formed brush component including a hub having a central axis and a plurality of bristles. Each bristle includes a shaft extending from the hub and having outwardly extending cleaning structures. The bristles extend radially from the central axis of the hub. A cylindrical support comprises a webbing having an array of holes positioned to receive the bristles of the brush component, each of the bristles being received within and extending outwardly from respective holes in the webbing. Alternate embodiments comprise an integrally-formed, linear brush component including a plurality of connected hub elements, each hub element carrying a bristle. Each bristle includes an elongated shaft having multiple cleaning structures extending outwardly. A webbing comprises an array of holes positioned to receive the bristles of the linear brush component, each of the bristles being received within and extending outwardly from respective holes in the webbing.
