Oral care implement and filament for the same
A mechanically tapered bristle filament for an oral care implement. The filament is characterized by a long thin tapered end portion. The tapered end portion has a taper length and tip diameter comparable to chemically tapered filaments. The areal surface roughness of the tapered end portion however is greater than chemically tapered filaments thereby producing increased scrubbing action against the surfaces of the teeth. The foregoing taper and roughness characteristics of the present filament enhance inter-dental cleaning effectiveness.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SHEET FOR USE IN TONGUE PLAQUE CLEANER
Provided is a method for manufacturing a sheet for use in a tongue plaque cleaner, capable of reliably cutting loops of thread members provided at a given density, and forming thread members each having a shape with an arc portion sufficient enough to scrape off tongue plaque, through steps that are simple, low-cost and suitable for mass production. A method for manufacturing a sheet 1 for use in a tongue plaque cleaner for scraping off tongue plaque, includes: a step of heating a sheet material having multiple looped thread members 2 protruding from one surface of the sheet material, at a temperature below the melting point of the thread members 2; and a step of forming first thread members 3, 8 and second thread members 4, 9 by cutting loops of the thread members 2 heated.
Multifunctional miswak device
Provided are multifunctional cases, device and kits for storing, peeling and cutting a miswak twig. Generally, the multifunctional case comprises a case portion and a cap portion each of which may have one or more compartments therein. The case is configured to store one or more miswak twigs therein and to contain an optionally removable clipper for cutting the twigs. The cap portion contains an optionally removable peeler and may further comprise a storage compartment and/or a cluster of bristling picks. The case may also comprise a mechanism to advance and to retract a miswak twig. The kits provided comprise any of the multifunctional cases or devices described herein and one or more miswak twigs stored within the case or device.

BRUSH FOR COSMETIC IMPLEMENTS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME
A brush for cosmetic implements includes a brush part attached to a support member; the brush part includes a plurality of synthetic resin fibers whose tip end has a conically tapered surface, and a plurality of fiber bundles composed of a plurality of synthetic resin fibers is formed at least three places in a radial circumferential surface of the support member, and further formed in an axial direction of the support member. Provided is a brush for a cosmetic implements in which a brush bristle having a tapered end is provided around the support member in the radial direction, and a manufacturing method thereof.
Toothbrush with Elastic Bristles
A toothbrush comprises a plurality of bristles, each of which comprises an upper part and a lower part, wherein toughness of the lower part is smaller than the toughness of the upper part, an enrooting member into which the bristles are enrooted, wherein the enrooting member comprises a plurality of enrooting holes that receive the plurality of bristles, wherein each of enrooting hole comprises an enrooting recess that receives the lower part of the bristle. A method of manufacturing a toothbrush comprises steps of cutting a predetermined length from a plastic wire; processing the cut wire into a bristle having an upper part and a lower part, wherein toughness of the lower part is smaller than the toughness of the upper part; and enrooting the bristles into a plurality of enrooting holes of the enrooting member.
Toothbrush head and method of manufacturing
This disclosure provides a toothbrush head and a toothbrush with improved toothbrush bristle configuration comprising different types of bristle filaments in a specified arrangement. Disclosed are toothbrush heads comprising first tufts (5) comprising first bristles (6) and second tufts (7) comprising second bristles (8), wherein the second tufts (7) are positioned outermost closest to the distal end (3A) and outermost closest to the proximal end (3B) on the bristle surface (3), and/or outermost closest to the widthways opposite ends (3C, 3D) on the bristle surface (3), and wherein the second bristles (8) have a stem (19) that splits into split ends (21), and wherein the split ends (21) are chemically tapered. Also provided are toothbrushes comprising said toothbrush heads. The toothbrushes achieve excellent brushing performance, plaque removal from the gingival and subgingival margin and reach into the interproximal spaces. There are also disclosed methods of manufacturing these toothbrushes.
