Ripening of 1,4-bis (4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene
A method for manufacturing 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene, including: reacting terephthaloyl chloride with diphenyl ether in a reaction solvent and in the presence of a Lewis acid, so as to obtain a product mixture including a 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene-Lewis acid complex; contacting the product mixture with a protic solvent, so as to obtain a first phase containing the Lewis acid and a second phase containing 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene; heating at least the second phase up to a maximum temperature, followed by cooling the second phase down to a separation temperature; subjecting at least the second phase to a solid/liquid separation step at the separation temperature, so as to recover solid 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING OXIDATION REACTION PRODUCT OF HYDROCARBON OR DERIVATIVE THEREOF, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING OXIDATION REACTION PRODUCT OF OLEFIN
The first aspect of the present invention is intended to provide a method for producing an oxidation reaction product of the hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof efficiently using hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof as a raw material. In order to achieve the above object, the first aspect of the present invention provides a method for producing an oxidation reaction product of a hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof. The method includes the step of irradiating a reaction system with light in the presence of a raw material and a chlorine dioxide radical. The raw material is hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof, the reaction system is a reaction system containing an organic phase, and the organic phase contains the raw material and the chlorine dioxide radical. In the step of irradiating a reaction system with light, the raw material is oxidized by the light irradiation to generate an oxidation reaction product of the raw material.

FILAMENTS OF MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE
A method is provided for preparing a fibrous material of crosslinked microfibrillated cellulose. Dialdehyde microfibrillated cellulose is spun into a fibrous material; said fibrous material is pre- or post-treated (by reduction of pH) to provide crosslinking between the dialdehyde microfibrillated cellulose. Fibrous materials such as filaments or mats, and polymer composites comprising such materials are also described.
