A PEDESTAL APPARATUS
20170065074 · 2017-03-09 ·

The invention discloses a pedestal apparatus for an article of furniture. The pedestal apparatus has an elongate post formation defining a first end and a second end and having a longitudinal axis. The post formation immovably supports a fixed foot arrangement and also movably supports a variable foot arrangement. The variable foot arrangement is selectively movable along and around the longitudinal axis for varying a longitudinal and angular proximity between the variable foot arrangement and the fixed foot arrangement. Biasing means are provided for controlling movement of the variable foot arrangement whereby, in use, the biasing means causes both the fixed foot arrangement and the variable foot arrangement to abut an underlying surface and thereby provide a substantial stabilization of the pedestal apparatus.

Sleeping pad with dual coated bottom sheet and central layer

An inflatable sleeping pad or air mattress comprises an inflatable pad having a top layer and a bottom layer. At least one middle layer is disposed parallel to the top and bottom layers, and supported between the top layer and the bottom layer by a plurality of support baffles, wherein a first plurality of support baffles is disposed between the at least one middle layer and the top layer, and a second plurality of support baffles disposed between the at least middle one layer and the bottom layer. The sleeping pad further comprises an air inlet/outlet valve disposed on at least one of the inflatable pad top or bottom layers.

A foldable table that provides a stable operational position in which the table legs may extend beyond the footprint of the table, and a folded, storage position in which the table legs may be tucked within the footprint of the table. An aspect provides table legs that may slide and pivot within sockets of a table top, to enable the legs to lock into the extended position and to also pivot flat against a horizontal undersurface of the table top.

Furnishing element having a folding support shelf and/or a folding support structure

A furnishing element, such as a table, a stool, or a desk includes a support structure having at least one support leg defining a vertical axis, a support shelf, supported by and connected to the support structure by a connector. In a use configuration, the support shelf is parallel to a horizontal plane. The connector includes a first joint and a second joint independent of each other. The first joint identifies a first hinge axis parallel to the horizontal plane to permit rotation and folding of the support shelf towards the support structure, to position the support shelf perpendicular to the horizontal plane in a folded configuration. The second joint identifies a second hinge axis which permits rotation of the support leg towards the support shelf, to position the support leg parallel to the horizontal plane in a folded configuration.

The invention relates to a folding table (2) comprising a table top (4) having a substantially horizontal planar extent in an operational state, and a plurality of table legs (6, 8) attached to the table top (4). The table top (4) can be swiveled relative to the table legs (6, 8) about a first axis of rotation (10) into an inoperative state, in which the table top (4) has a planar extent that deviates from the horizontal planar extent. At least one of the table legs (6) can be swiveled from an unfolded position about a second axis of rotation (12), which deviates from the first axis of rotation (10), into a folded position. Proposition is made for the table (2) to have an actuating linkage (36), which couples the table top (4) to the at least one swivel table leg (6) in such a way that a transition of the table top (4) from the operational state to the inoperative state also automatically swivels the at least one swivel table leg (6) from the unfolded position to the folded position.
