A furniture item comprises first and second edge modules, each edge module having a substantially horizontal component with a receiving section and a substantially vertical component with a receiving section. The first and second edge modules are spaced and arranged with respect to each other so that the respective receiving section of the horizontal components face each other. A top surface is provided and has first and second ends. The first end is supported by the receiving section of the horizontal component of one first edge module and the second end is supported by the receiving section of the horizontal component of the second edge module. Further, there is a first leg having an upper section accommodated by the receiving section of the vertical component of the first edge module and a second leg having an upper section accommodated by the receiving section of the vertical component of the second edge module.

A furniture item comprises first and second edge modules, each edge module having a substantially horizontal component with a receiving section and a substantially vertical component with a receiving section. The first and second edge modules are spaced and arranged with respect to each other so that the respective receiving section of the horizontal components face each other. An article of furniture having a pair of side supports. The side supports are formed from panels of a sheet material having oppositely directed faces. An array of holes is formed in each panel extending between the faces and arranged as a uniform grid. Support members extend between the panels and are secured to the panels by fasteners passing through the holes and in to the ends of the support members. The placement of the support members may be adjusted to meet the configuration of furniture required with the fasteners passing through the appropriate ones of the holes in each panel.

An article of furniture having a pair of side supports. The side supports are formed from panels of a sheet material having oppositely directed faces. An array of holes is formed in each panel extending between the faces and arranged as a uniform grid. Support members extend between the panels and are secured to the panels by fasteners passing through the holes and in to the ends of the support members. The placement of the support members may be adjusted to meet the configuration of furniture required with the fasteners passing through the appropriate ones of the holes in each panel.

A table having a table frame and a table top is provided, where the table top rests on the table frame. The table frame has two front table legs and at least one rear table leg, and the two front table legs are each arranged outside an edge of the table top in such a way that each of the two front table legs protrudes laterally beyond an edge.

A desk leg and a desk applying the same are provided which comprises a longitudinally-extending angular column; the column is formed by an elongated first plate piece and an elongated second plate piece connected at sides, at least one supporting piece and at least one connection hole are disposed at upper ends of inner surfaces of the first plate piece and the second plate piece respectively; the supporting piece of the upper end protrudes inwardly to support a desk board, the connection hole is located above the supporting piece, and a connection portion is disposed on the supporting pieces; and a reinforcing plate; a mounting portion corresponding to the connection portion is disposed on the reinforcing plate and detachable connected to the connection portion, which realizes a better load-bearing effect, and is convenient to transport and mount while having a larger structural strength and a longer service life.

A desk leg and a desk applying the same are provided which comprises a longitudinally-extending angular column; the column is formed by an elongated first plate piece and an elongated second plate piece connected at sides, at least one supporting piece and at least one connection hole are disposed at upper ends of inner surfaces of the first plate piece and the second plate piece respectively; the supporting piece of the upper end protrudes inwardly to support a desk board, the connection hole is located above the supporting piece, and a connection portion is disposed on the supporting pieces; and a reinforcing plate; a mounting portion corresponding to the connection portion is disposed on the reinforcing plate and detachable connected to the connection portion, which realizes a better load-bearing effect, and is convenient to transport and mount while having a larger structural strength and a longer service life.

A pedestal leg assembly includes a pedestal leg and floor base. The leg includes a plurality of teeth near the bottom end of the leg and a connecting bolt in a threaded engagement with the bottom end of the leg. The floor base includes a recessed portion having a slot in its bottom surface to receive the bolt and a release mechanism configured to pivot between a lock position and a release position. In lock position the release mechanism engages at least one of the teeth to prevent rotation of the pedestal leg in at least one direction. When pivoted into release position, the release mechanism is moved away from engagement with the teeth to allow rotation of the pedestal leg in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The pedestal leg assembly may include a powered connection to receive input power and/or a communication signal at the floor base and transfer the power and communication signals to a supported table top surface.

Methods for producing a folding table with increased seating space are provided. A method may include affixing a plurality of legs to an underside of a tabletop, and configuring the legs to be movable, bi-directionally, between an unfolded position and a folded position via multiple folding mechanisms. Installing each of the folding mechanisms may include affixing a central support bar to the underside of the tabletop via a hinged bracket, and securing a central portion of a transverse support bar assembly against the central support bar such that the central portion is configured to slide along the central support bar. A method may also include attaching one end of a first side support bar to the central portion, and another end to one of the legs, and attaching one end a second side support bar to the central portion, and another end to another one of the legs.

Methods for producing a folding table with increased seating space are provided.
