A method is also provided for producing the metal salt of an alicyclic dicarboxylic acid; a crystal nucleating agent containing the metal salt of an alicyclic dicarboxylic acid; a crystal nucleating agent composition for polyolefin resins containing the crystal nucleating agent and a fatty acid metal salt; a polyolefin resin composition containing the crystal nucleating agent; and a polyolefin resin molded article obtained using the polyolefin resin composition. Provided is a metal salt of an alicyclic dicarboxylic acid in which the alicyclic dicarboxylic acid is an alkyl substituent-containing cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid, and the metal salt is a calcium salt, a hydroxyaluminum salt, a disodium salt, or a dilithium salt.

METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF 1,4-CYCLOHEXANEDIMETHANOL
The present disclosure relates to a method for preparation of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol. According to the present disclosure, two step reduction reactions are conducted using terephthalic acid as starting material, and an isomerization process for increasing the rate of trans isomers of CHDA is introduced therebetween, thereby providing a method capable of stably preparing CHDM with high rate of trans isomers.

The present disclosure relates to a method for preparation of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol. A process for making a high purity salt comprises the steps of providing an organic compound, providing a metal salt, adding the metal salt and organic compound to an aqueous medium, heating the reaction mixture to react the organic compound and the metal salt to form an organic salt, collecting the organic salt, and directly contacting the collected organic salt with a heated gas stream while agitating the collected organic salt to reduce the moisture content of the dried organic salt to about 7% or less.
