The present invention teaches a bedside table with a disposable hygienic tray which has thereon multiple layers of film. Each layer of film in turn has adhesive, or anti-bacterial compounds, or bacterial detection compounds, or combinations thereof. In use, for example in a hospital, health care setting, home care setting or for home or many other contexts of use, each layer is removed in sequence, exposing a new layer underneath. After a suitable period of usage, the new layer is in turn removed to expose yet another later. When the final layer is removed the disposable tray is removed from the bedside table and replaced with a fresh tray. In embodiments, the core bedside table unit may sit on the floor, mount to a wall rail, or may have a projection dimensioned and configured to pass between the bottom of a mattress and the top of a box spring.

A folding table movable between a folded position and a plurality of upright positions is disclosed. Each of the upright positions corresponds to a different table height. The folding table includes a table top and a scissor-folding table base assembly having first and second legs. The second leg is slidably retained adjacent a lower surface of the table top, and the first and second legs are pivotably connected to one another to form an X-shape. A clamp having a plurality of retaining notches retains the second leg against the lower surface of the table top. Movement of the second leg from a first retaining notch to a second notch causes the table to move from a first to a second upright position, having a different tabletop height. The table legs may also be collapsed into a folded position.

Furniture useful around fire pits include an accessory mount to allow items such as a tray or grill to be mounted to the furniture in both useful and storage positions. The accessory mount is repositionably carried on an armrest or table edge. The position of the mount can be changed along the length of the armrest or table edge. The mount assembly allows the accessory to pivot when in the useful position. A cup holder also can be repositionably carried by the armrest or the table edge.
